Why do you keep bringing up 2021 as if that is when we were all born? You 4 years old?
I still remember seeing rotary phones being used to having a computer in the palm of my hand.
I remember having to go to the library to find information about things when now I can do that from anywhere from thousands of sources.
I remember wishing the Universal Translator from Star Trek was something that would happen way in the future, but you can translate text and speech in real time now with applications. Not perfect but immensely helpful and only getting better with Augmented Reality as well.
Back to Star Trek, a show set hundreds of years in the future, i wished I could ask a computer to do things for me like they could on the show but now that is actually a reality.
I went from resigning myself as a teenager to be stuck in an office and in traffic my whole life, to now being able to work from home or anywhere in the world.
I can keep going on and on but the point is that if you are not fukking 10 years old or younger, you have seen massive changes and new technologies being put out over your lifetime. Until the fukking railroad a few hundred years ago the fastest way to travel on land was a fukking animal, for thousands of years.
The fastest way to travel by sea before steam engines hundreds of years ago was with sails, which were invented around 4000 BC! How many people said you are not going to get any better than that and we have ships splitting atoms that can stay out at sea for months to years without getting supplies for the crew.
Talking about not seeing any large tech creations when in the last 40 years alone is on some sci-fi shyt. Bring someone from 1985 to now and they would be shocked at what is here now, hell you could bring someone from 2005 here and they would be amazed.
