Female rappers of substance don't have the mainstream support or buys that the stripper rappers do. Simple as that.
In the male world, substance and talent sells. Not to say that Cardi, Nicki and Stallion don't have talent... but they sell more than those of substance. Blame the fans/target market.
No we won't blame the fans, the difference is those male rappers got cosigns from two legends who rapped about drugs and one who helped start gangsta rap. Then a major push from Interscope and Roc Nation. And once they got heard by fans and critics it was off to the races. So now ask yourself, why don't the Cardi's and Nickis of the world cosign these female rappers of substance whos names they like to throw out when the criticism comes? Why aren't major labels pushing a talented female artist of substance? In hiphop cosigns and hype have always been what pushed an artist momentum. I don't believe there are a bunch of talented female artist on the roster at these labels

. And finding good artist is supposed to be the job of the label, well at least it used to be. Now its all about getting views and streams,so essentially its easy to get views and streams on an attractive, half naked woman with a fat ass.
It absolves labels from actually having to use a marketing budget, half naked women twerking is an easy sell vs selling something by telling people its dope, unless its by way of cosign. These strippers are cheap promo and cost effective, and probably pay for their own hair and makeup. You are excusing the labels and other female rappers here by blaming fans. Don't let them fool you.
