it's a complex thing that has less to do with logic and more to do with miscegenation period. for instance here are two products of black male/white female:

1. rashida jones
2. melyssa ford

yet only one of them is viewed as being a black woman. you have to see rashida's pops (though you'd question that name for starters) to be like.. oh, you're half black? so before that you view melyssa saying nikka differently than rashida saying nikka because only one reads as being a sista. it boils down to aesthetics quite honestly

Any mulatto that wasn't raised by their black side of fam shouldn't say it imo....

To be real...I kinda don't think biracial should be saying nikka at all

then what about octaroons and quadroons? shyt back in the day if you had one drop of black In you was considered black. Even better what about certain Africans that were never raised in American culture. Can they say nikka?

No one should say it in media, rappers or not..weve been disrespected long enough. Next people start splicing hairs and coming up with inane bullshyt reasons..
'b b bu but if his daddy was 1/8 black then it means..'

:hhh:

100. I never use it and I'm 1000% all black, aint use that jawn in like 5 years. It's so common now that these Logics and white girl rappers and whoever else feel like it's not a big deal to use it. If it wasn't so common they'd never say it in public, even if their uncle's sister's husband's father's adopted son is half black.

if your ADOS/Afram and fit the Darity rules of what it is to be one. You should have the right to say it. That includes biracials who identify as black.:yeshrug:

(PDF) The Economics of Reparations

pg 336, the second paragraph of this article explains.

"we propose two criteria for eligibility: first an individual would have to provide reasonable documentation that they had at least one ancestor who was enslaved in the United States; and, second, an individual would have to demonstrate that at least 10 years before the onset of the reparations program they self-indentified as black, African American, colored or Negro on a legal document."

so people who are half ados, despite what their other half is, can say it. As long as they identify as black that is
