I would hope no one is calling you a cac or attacking you for supporting her, she does have some redeeming qualities despite the things that have pushed me not to support her in the primaries.
I think the majority of her opposition on here has been measured and based on her past political and judicial record as opposed to her racial makeup or anything that falls under “identity politics” I also haven’t read anything that was particularly “disrespectful” being aimed at her in this thread.
I can understand the arguments against her political and judicial record, though she's between a rock and a hard place as prosecutors are there to prosecute but, I can at least understand the argument. Where people lose me is the racial shyt. You have to read the entire thread. There was a lot of disrespect being thrown her way. Its the twilight zone in here. Dudes calling themselves pro-black and militant but, attacking the only black woman in the race because her ancestors come from an island rather than the states, just to go support a white candidate and not give the same level of vitriol to them or the other white candidates running

someone with ties to the oil industry to run the organization that oversees environmental protection
How does that relate to this conversation, tho?
Do you see where your logic failed? That would make her black American, not AA. All that other shyt about disrespect is nonsense. You got newbies out here telling us how we should SELF- identify. Is that not the height of disrespect?
Nobody has ever said European-American or Caucasian-American, stop. The term is white American bc they, like foreign blacks, know exactly where they come from and thus refer to themselves as specific country- American. She does not descend from some amorphous group of Africans, she descends from Jamaicans and Indians and should therefore be id'd as a Jamaican- American, Indian- American, or some combination thereof.
THE ONLY REASON WHY WE ARE CALLED "AFRICAN AMERICANS" IS BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL ANCESTRAL LAND TO CALL OURS. THIS DOES NOT MEAN OTHER BLACK ETHNIC GROUPS DO NOT QUALIFY TO BE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN. ITS INHERENTLY A BROAD CATEGORY. THAT'S WHY IT WAS USED
