The season is just over two months old and already there have been eight 50-point games so far (Harden had 53 a couple of days ago; Jimmie Butler had 52 last night).
That's the most 50-point games in league history, and we're not even at the halfway point yet.
Can we reasonably expect that number to double by the end of the year, especially since players usually heat up as the season progresses? What about the playoffs? You KNOW nikkas gon' start cookin by Spring...
Reasons for the spike in individual scoring this particular season? Are defenses just that bad, is scoring just getting easier? Or....are today's players just THAT much better scorers than the players of yesteryear(s)?
