I take this one to be a commentary on the way the media celebritizes the monsters of our society. George Zimmerman, Casey Anthony, This Elliot Rodger dude, etc.

I have a slight idea on the ground and violin ones but the soccer gun has me completely mindfukked :what: the hell does that mean :why:

The foolishness of conflict journalism? :ld: These news organizations pay their journalists to literally put their life at risk, and sometimes they are indeed put at risk when they're kidnapped and held on ransom. The irony being that the price for the life is far more than the journalist could have ever made. It's pocket change in comparison (see the money the violin case). In the end they're pretty much "played like a fiddle" on both ends. By the news organizations as well as terrorist/insurgent groups, both are more than willing to play with their lives as a mean to a greater end (money).

Hell if i know though :wow:

the one you quoted was rather lauding towards facebook as a force for democracy though
Nah, I see a guy usin' social media as a tool against a cat with a real gun.

I understand the positive power of social media. But, it troubles me how we think we're savin' the world with hashtags.

I still cringe when I think about that Colbert Twitter thing.

Homie was straight up like ":mjpls:" like some sort of King Koopa sending his goons in, without checking the context of the thing he was offended by.

And I worry about social media (who are apart of the system as anything) being the go to for "revolution," when we should be--myself, included--hittin' the streets.
