Little ceaser’s arena is the best with pricing off the fact it has restaurants independently of the arena. So I can buy a large pizza from Mikes Pizza $14 or be a idiot and spend $20 on two slices from lil Caesar’s

My boy was there last night at the Sky Deck by Marquee (elevated platform section) and the bucket of water was $1500. Table alone was like $25,000. Vendor food an allat brought to you so you don’t have to leave. Probably the best way to view EDC if you ain’t tryna be around a bunch of sweaty cacs.

First time I went I was shocked to see some many brehs and brehettes just feeling the music

I just moved back to the East Coast. What are some decent black edm events going on? I'm totally lost on these events.

I know as a Black Man who loves electronic dance music and house and techno I just get disappointed going to some of these mainstream festivals and not seeing too many black people there. I can enjoy myself to the sights and the sounds...but I hate being one of the few Black people at these events. Cause these white folks be acting like we don't know this music or anything about these artists. Meanwhile...Black people created all the genres that make up EDM and this is the thanks we get?

Next to no Black DJs being booked.
Borderline racist dress code door policies
Extremely high cover prices
Bougie VIP nonsense.

I hate the classist bougie nonsense of mainstream dance music...which is why I like going to the lesser hyped festivals in Chicago and New York and Jersey.

Like I used to go to house music events in Jersey in the early 90s with my family at parks and there would be NO white people there.

So for it to turn to this?

Also can you recommend events in the area?

TBF I only f with charivari and movement.

I’m not on the EDM scene like that but I really enjoy these 2 festivals, and I only found out about them by word of mouth.

Idk I can’t really speak on that cause he didn’t mention anything of that nature. What I can say is when you’re in spaces like that and act like you’ve been there before most people are chill regardless of who you are. If you’re dropping money like that at EDC I’m sure everyone there just tryna have a good time away from the crowds.

As for it being a waste of money Breh and the group he went with travel together too and do ballin shyt around the world. In the words of Future “You do what you want when poppin, you do what you want when you got it”.
