Why isn’t crime zero though? I was told everyone constantly carrying guns would make people safer despite statistics have always shown that even just having a gun in the home makes people less safe
If people really wanted to solve crime they’d attack the underlying issues. All lax gun laws do is tell people not to look at that other stuff and helps solidify the status quo. Not to mention giving racist free range to murder blacks for even looking in their direction legally. As I always point out on here, these lax gun laws ain’t for yall

It's not a narrative, you're just a victim of dated data. Last year many cities experienced crime rates they haven't seen since the 90s.

Crime is still at historic lows it was mainly violent crimes driven by gun violence. Maybe we should be focused on how to cut down on guns rather than going around harassing black folks with white supremacist cops. Many cities also experienced a massive increase in poverty but you'd be arms about trying to solve that problem. Let's not forget there was a dramatic drop in crime when we paid people to stay the fukk home during a pandemic and we saw poverty go down for the first time in decades. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
It's 100% a narrative, if the news is just interviewing cops that pretty much always a narrative being pushed by police PR departments.

The problem is America will never address those underlying issues. Making poor people’s lives better isn’t a priority for the Government. We both know DC is ran by corporations. They just sell dreams for the votes. I think citizens feel like their only recourse is to get armed to the teeth. At least they feel like they can control their safety in their lives, even if it’s not true and the statistics don’t back it up.

Every major city across this country had high Murder rates. My city broke its all time record of 272 and were 1/10 size of Los Angeles. You can say the crime is low. You concede that the crime is happening, you even pointed to possible solutions based on drops in (crime) during the pandemic. This isn't a narrative, crime is up and expecting criminals to abide by future gun laws is just insane to contemplate.

You literally ignored the part of my post where the first thing I say is "Crime is still at historic lows". Then you give up the game by stating that "well we can't expect criminals to listen to gun laws" if that's the case then we shouldn't be getting more cops since they apparently aren't going to enforce or do anything when it comes to gun laws.
We should go to a wild west model arm everyone and abolish the police by your logic.
