I don't think you read this at all if it's a response to the claims about crime reaching record highs. (Because this article isn't about that)
You literally ignored the part of my post where the first thing I say is "Crime is still at historic lows". Then you give up the game by stating that "well we can't expect criminals to listen to gun laws" if that's the case then we shouldn't be getting more cops since they apparently aren't going to enforce or do anything when it comes to gun laws.
We should go to a wild west model arm everyone and abolish the police by your logic.
I don't think you read this at all if it's a response to the claims about crime reaching record highs. (Because this article isn't about that)
I addressed that claim in my first reply. It's a dated claim that doesn't account for the last two years.
It's about how cop PR machines help shape a narrative. It was a minor part of my reply to you but it shows you're not actually reading anything I'm writing and that's fine. Chose to read it or don't, have a nice day. Also the fact that cops have a PR department is pretty problematic in the first place.
I guess being armed to the teeth as a citizen really isn’t how you stop crime or else it would be zero in Texas. O well
The PR departments are the ones helping to put the media in contact and push these narratives online about crime dude. Why are they always only interviewing cops and not people who actually study these things? Who do you think is arranging these stories and interviews on behalf of the police department. This is an ongoing problemThe narratives cops are shaping to protect their own has no influence on rising crime rates. Police narratives aren't the catalyst for armed criminals teaming up to break into lawful people's homes to steal from them.
What do you think would’ve happened if homeowner wasn’t armed??
Would those people even be there if we actually tried to improve society and attack the underlying issues as to why people do that in the first place?
If you're teaming up with 5 people to rob a home and all you net is a few hundred dollars in cash and some items you can pawn. After the loot is split, each person has made less money than they would have made working at an Amazon warehouse.
Criminals like these guys want fast money for as little effort as possible. Unless your idea of "improving society" is to give everyone thousands of dollars a month in perpetuity, criminals will continue this type of crime.
Or I dunno we could just start with shyt like healthcare and raising the minimum wage nationally to match inflation which would be like 23$ an hour and probably higher now![]()
You’d think places like Texas, would be the last place one would try to break into someone’s house.
Lol that's why the whole let's give everyone weapons is conservative myth. Home invasions is a thing in txYou’d think places like Texas, would be the last place one would try to break into someone’s house.
