Some of them are asking for first and last months rent plus a security deposit and a move in fee. You might as well put a down payment on a house for that much money.

Idk about a move in fee but isnt first, last and security deposit normal?

I thought it was normal. A lot of them be asking for a brokers fee too.
Never heard of a brokers feeI thought it was normal. A lot of them be asking for a brokers fee too.
over here in canada its normal first and last. other places in the world some people have to pay up for the whole year in advance

It's not that serious for real. Security deposit is returned and first and last is exactly what it saysYa'll need to fix ya'll credit. Never had to pay the first, nor the last month up front. At most I paid a deposit and even that has been waived in the past.![]()
Maybe it’s a NYC thing. But it’s usually a whole month’s rent that goes to the rental broker.Never heard of a brokers fee

What state is this in? Even people with A1 credit and income have to pay first, last, and sec. where I am.Ya'll need to fix ya'll credit. Never had to pay the first, nor the last month up front. At most I paid a deposit and even that has been waived in the past.![]()
Damn my credit straight and I’ve always had to pay all 3.That is deff a coastal and big city thing. I see it alot in NY and NJ, LA, etc
But when I lived in Ohio, they only required first month plus a deposit. And if you got bad credit the deposit would be equal to the amount you pay for rent
