So my mom was going on a walk earlier and went to the car to get something. She noticed three teens huddled up but didn’t think nothing of it. Once my moms came back, the car window was broken and the glove compartment was broken as well, but luckily she wasn’t hurt and she doesn’t keep important stuff in the car.

I’m glad nothing happened to her but I’m pissed off man, these little demons did this in broad ass daylight and we live in a nice area to. Parents don’t do they fukking job and their kids end up doing crime because they think that shyt’s fun. Idk I just felt like venting, I was in the house getting ready for an interview but I still feel like I could’ve done something. What can parents and the community as a whole do to mitigate kid’s being caught up in crime at an early age?

This is what never receiving corporal punishment leads us to. When I was growing up, i knew not to steal or commit crimes cause my dad AND my mom would have went upside my big head.

They beat me up for way less than this. If I was out there committing crimes?

My parents had me SHOOK as a jit. They would always tell me "I brought you in this world and ill take you out of it."

A Mashup of my childhood would be me doing stupid stuff and getting whipped with an extension cord, slapped upside the head and getting the taste slapped out of my mouth, getting choked out by my mom one time, my dad bodyslamming me when I started feeling myself in my teens and also giving me a gut punch one day when I thought I was old enough to talk back.

And I wouldn't have it any other way. My parents raised me to be a well adjusted member of society, a productive member of society cause they taught me that for every action, there's consequences. And many of those consequences are going to be painful.

Those fools that robbed your mom was never taught that, OP, and its sad. Our community thought we were becoming more progressive when we stopped whipping and punishing the children, but instead we regressed. The state of the mindset of black youth in America has never been as terrible as it is now.

I had some younger kids who kept cutting through my yard and kicking open my gate and little dumb shyt.

One day me and my brother sat out there and waited on them to get off the bus and sure enough one of em came bee bopping his ass thru the yard. When he got around the corner to where he could see us he froze up.

Me and bro told him sternly to go back the way he came.

Next day the whole fam damnly was on the porch waiting for they ass.

Then that was that. For now I guess.

Sucks to have to do shyt like that.
