Just keep going, get that job you were interviewing for. Use it as motivation to improve your situation. That's the best you can do.

not true at all. This is what never receiving corporal punishment leads us to. When I was growing up, i knew not to steal or commit crimes cause my dad AND my mom would have went upside my big head.
They beat me up for way less than this. If I was out there committing crimes?
My parents had me SHOOK as a jit. They would always tell me "I brought you in this world and ill take you out of it."
A Mashup of my childhood would be me doing stupid stuff and getting whipped with an extension cord, slapped upside the head and getting the taste slapped out of my mouth, getting choked out by my mom one time, my dad bodyslamming me when I started feeling myself in my teens and also giving me a gut punch one day when I thought I was old enough to talk back.
And I wouldn't have it any other way. My parents raised me to be a well adjusted member of society, a productive member of society cause they taught me that for every action, there's consequences. And many of those consequences are going to be painful.
Those fools that robbed your mom was never taught that, OP, and its sad. Our community thought we were becoming more progressive when we stopped whipping and punishing the children, but instead we regressed. The state of the mindset of black youth in America has never been as terrible as it is now.
Nah new dope got them acting different. They either know they’re not going to get in serious trouble or they simply don’t care it’s amazing. They're not built differently. They're built the same way as they were in the 80s and 90s.
The murder rates that peaked in the 80s and 90s tell a different story.Nah new dope got them acting different. They either know they’re not going to get in serious trouble or they simply don’t care it’s amazing.
And kids use to be like Juice where one person in the clique had the strap. Now if you see a foursome of troublemakers best believe there are 4 guns
Lmaooget your car burglarized in broad daylight by juveniles and say you live in a nice area, brehs.
not true at all.
these kids get plenty of whoopings. Beatings even. Most knuckleheads ive known in life had plenty of corporal punishment handed to them.
the issue is they aren’t given any stability, care, problem solving skills, emotional intelligence, and no goals which overall comes from a lack of guidance. Most parents just pop out a kid and dont think about the fact that kids need pure environments, guidance, and stability because even the best of intentions dont mean shyt when there’s tons of fukkery around for a kid to get into and no definitive path to keep them away from that same fukkery
I don't think corporal punishment stops kids from crime. Having actually known kids for decades now who were involved in crime - 100% of them were hit by their parents. This is what never receiving corporal punishment leads us to.
