I don't think corporal punishment stops kids from crime. Having actually known kids for decades now who were involved in crime - 100% of them were hit by their parents.

Being abused and hit out of anger isn't the same as being corporately punished and disciplined in a way to correct behavior. My parents did the latter not the former.

i don't get why this is a "kids these days" issue.... it's not like the kids back in the days weren't stealing from older people. most folks that have a something worth breaking into are grown ass people
