Having a gun, like having a jack in your car is going to assist you or someone else in a situation, if you're trained in using it. Being trained on using a car jack doesn't make you a car mechanic, being trained on using a firearm doesn't make you a soldier. They are both things that are necessary. There are some people who refuse to protect themselves and possibly others, just as there are people who refuse to change their own tires. You can call 911, you can call AAA. Someone else might save you, someone else might pull over and help you out.

I make sure I always know where the emergency exit is in any building.

My head stays on a swivel when I go out. Make sure to memorize the emergency exits and pay attention a lot more to my surroundings.

Real talk, I had to ride the bus today to run an errand and one of the things I did when I got in (bus was empty) was look at the emergency hatch and mentally wondered how fast I could twist, open, and then jump through it if someone came on the bus shooting.

I go into restaurants scoping exits, and if certain places are too packed, shy away. You don't even have to get shot. Let shots ring off and you in a crowd...does getting trampled to death sound like a good way to go? I'm honestly tired of the shyt. It makes me want to get active but I know that with activism comes death threats and getting doxxed. People can talk about how hard times were in the past but imma be real when I say between economic shyt, threat of the deadliest war ever, and other things, I can't even begin to let people talk that shyt anymore. Where do we honestly go at this point?

Its simple if you want this issue to be addressed vote for democrats in every election especially presidential ones, clarence thomas and alito are in the 70s if biden wins re election there is a great chance he can replace one or even both of those men and swing the supreme court liberally to support and uphold gun restrictions and stop this carnage.

I don't feel bad, but now I think about it more often. I was always strategic about where I sat in restaurants and venues like that absolutely taking into account gunfire and a stampede. It's harder to consider those things when with people. I might hear a pop alone and decide to duck under cover right away. What if my girl is with me and she freezes? My natural instinct might now need to be bushed to grab her and hope her fear doesn't get me fukking killed. The fact that I have to do the math on these situations is sickening.
