Streaming prices will rival cable television prices eventually and will probably include commercials too. This is just the start

Also I don't see a purpose to streaming unless they're offering ultra-high fidelity . . that would be ultimate purpose of streaming. Hosting files that would be inconvenient to have on your own hard drive

What the hell are you hosting servers for to stream MP3 :scust:

i got a 1TB hard drive full of downloaded music. But 2 minutes compared 2 seconds is huge breh.

I don't listen to music on my HD like that anyway. Spotify is on phone, work laptop, personal laptop, beam it around my house on Sonos etc.

I don't download music like that at all. There's an app or 3 for that. Mixtapes, albums, most remixes - there's only about 5% of music not available out there to stream. The only reason to not stream is financial.
I have two 1 TB hard drive back-ups of my music library. My library is too vast, too beautifully organized to just be on one hard drive. Have to have multiple back-ups

The only advantage of having multiple services out there is keeping them from going krazy with the fee increases over time. Competition helps keep the price down

Exactly . . but once the industry cannibalizes itself those prices are going up. They haven't figured out how to turn a profit at $10 yet

Then you know shyt is a pain in the ass. There's always some dope shyt you left at home. Now you gotta load up YouTube anyway on your phone and listen in low quality.

I see he point of downloading + streaming. More options. But just downloading is some Stone Age shyt to me. It's like playing music through various speakers in ya house with the laptop by the AUX or Bluetooth. You gotta have ya shyt hooked up on the WI FI. when my money better we going to do it legit in the whip too.

Yeah they have. Spotify is making a profit in various markets but reinvesting all the money. There's always going to be 2 or 3 like there are 2 or 3 major labels. Apple might eventually sell music as a loss-leader just to get people to buy their phones.

The problem here is all the free-tier users. Spotify and them are still paying out royalties when these cheap fux stream something. They're gonna either have to figure out a way to get everyone to pay (unlikely since people are cheap and used to free stuff, see the comments in this thread) or create a few premieum tiers ($20, $30, etc a month) for niche users who will subsidize the freeloaders

I think as the services expand more advertising money will come in but I still think people will pay for the advertising-tier.

We'll see, I'm sure there's a lot of people working on maximizing revenue in this new segment of the industry

it's funny every time this thread gets made nikkas gotta exaggerate and act like it takes hours to download shyt. here's the reasons i prefer to download.
-free
-i don't have unlimited data
-music on the phone kills my battery
-got my own playlists with only the songs i wanna hear.
- on iTunes i can choose when i want the song to start and end. none of the bullshyt start the track over 5 times for the shyt that never got a no dj release.
- got a bunch of rare shyt that was never officially released that i know ain't on streaming.
-I'd rather have all my music in one place instead of switching app to app.

i got my shyt on play music so when i want to beam it and shyt i can, but I'm rocking with the ipod until apple stops replacing them. :manny:

Netflix is the only thing up there worth paying for

I still got Hulu Plus. I got Amazon Prime but dat free shipping.. nice.

But yeah. Free YouTube is prolly my favorite media outlet, but Netflix is like dat. Just the exclusive Marvel stuff alone is almost worth the cheddah. If you think of it like dozens of short movies (episodes) per year. But they have so much butta. That Chris Tucker. On and on.

if you hate downloading a free user from file hosts such as rapidgator, uploaded, nitroflare, and etc, you can always use real-debrid - you can download from so many different file hosts at high speeds if you sign up with them . plus it has a torrent downloader that will convert links to http links

*it's a old picture as megaupload and rapidshare don't exist lol but these guys are legit. it's great if you have kodi setup. exodus, salts, and other addons use these guys

download them mp3 320kbps files man

or FLAC if you about that life :birdman:
They ain't ready for this breh :lolbron:
