1.)So in the context of "intersectionality" I'm assuming this everyone who is not a straight white male?

2.)With your initial response to me in this thread in mind

It would be fair to assume you don't believe black people in America can be successful without "help" from White feminists,White LBGT, Latinos and Asians? Am I getting that right?
Huh? What are you even saying?

Intersectionality has nothing to do with everyone. It only has to deal with the groups that relate to your specific plight. It in no way requires you bring in nor support any cause that isn't related to your issues.

At this point it seems you all are just intentionally muddying the waters and speaking nonsense.

1. White people too

2. Depends on your definition of success. No group ever finds dominance/success through alienating themselves. Never happened. Never will. Not sure why y'all think that's a good idea.

You don't get it. Black women are both Black and women at the same time. There is no choosing one or the other.
I'm saying there are issues that can separate race and sexism.
I'm asking in a hypothetical scenario which one will take precedent.

Since I have the chance.
What are, in your opinion, issues that actual black feminists are concerned about?

To me all of these tumblr, youtube, LSA black feminists are concerned with sex and replacing white women.
I'd like an actual answer from a real one for once.

I think I understand the problem.

You don't understand the term "Black people". You seem to be very sure that Black people = Black men, and that ending systemic racism, which is Black men's only form of systematic oppression to battle, will solve the problems of all Black people. This is not the case.

Black people quite literally includes Black women and Black children, male and female, as well as Black men. If racism somehow died tomorrow, Black women would still face oppression as women. And that sex based oppression would happen outside and inside the Black community, just as it does today.

So to call a person who actually cares about ending the plight of all Black people in a complete and not halfway fashion a "c00n" is misinformed at best and idiotic at worst. There is nothing anti-Black about intersectionality for Black women, the fact is you personally are just not concerned about Black women. Which is fine. Just be man enough to admit you care about yourself as a Black man alone, and leave it at that. Don't go making declarations about things you don't understand and don't care enough about to try to.

no i am referring to all black people, the so called oppression of black women happens INSIDE the system of white supremacy, not in conjunction and not in parallel

the problem with intersectionality is that it asserts that there are different sorts of equivalent oppression, and the danger for black people in accepting is that it distracts from the fight against white supremacy

sure sex oppression occurs inside and outside the black community, sure its good to study it, but it goes off the rails when you start equating sex oppression as a parallel to white supremacy and getting distracted from fighting white supreamcy.

a lot of the groups that you find that you "intersect" with are card carrying members of the system of white supremacy, so it would behoove you to not enter into alliances unless they are fully against white supremacy. none of the groups that we black people "interesect" with have shown that they are against white supreamcy, its the opposite, time and time again they have shown that they are knee deep in white supremacy. Feminists are not your friend, feminists are white supremacists first feminist second, they do not stand up and defend black women.

Hotep Logic- "Feminism is bullsh*t, these white women don't care about black women or their issues"
Black Women- "Neither you do you."
Hotep- "Stop being divisive, race first!"

that is correct, anybody that equates sexism, immigration and lgbt rights with systematic white supremacy needs to slow down

fighting white supremacy comes first

Do you believe that black women and black men experience different problems within white supremacy?

A black man and black woman discussing their individual problems together and deciding the best way to fight white supremacy is Intersectionalism.

ok if thats what intersectionalism is then thats good

but the genesis of this argument was a couple of clowns trying to equate immigration issues with black issues and i believe that is also intersectionalism, that is where intersectionlism becomes becomes detrimental to black people

There are definitely people that will take advantage of your struggle to lift themselves up. You just have to be aware and make sure the people you build with have the same solutions as you. Salute.

No sir. The genesis of this argument is you saying that anyone who supports Intersectionality is c00ning point, blank, period. Then you doubled down not knowing what Intersectionality is and calling anyone who supports it a weak c00n that's a victim of white liberalism.

You're a disingenuous fukking idiot. I'm glad you've successfully boxed yourself into a corner after spouting nonsense on this topic for over three months.

I think the problem is that when black women bring up there issues as women it of comes off as they're teaming with white women.

There should be a better job of framing the issues of black women specifically otherwise white women will co-opt the narrative and continue to pretend they are not the second most dominant group in the world
