The Emanipation Procalamtion was acheived without other races or lgbt allies.
The Civil Rights Acts was acheived with out other races or lgbt allies (none worth noting at least).
My point? . . . fukk everyone else.
Let's take it a bit further. . . Most discussion of racism is far too emotional. So emotional that it literally lack tangible goals. We lose oursleves because we fail to realize that racism is of the mind. Meaning that it makes little sense to really try to control it via attempting to shame people we know engage in it. . . SYSTEMIC RACISM is a bit different. If we're trying to tangibly acheive goals such as better schools in our communities, less aggressive policing of our communities, lower incarceration rates, business ownership etc. . . THEN WE CAN DO SOMETHING!!!
Slaves wanted freedom (atleast physical freedom). . . A tangle and unemotional goal.
The Civil Rights movement sought an end to Jim Crow laws. . . A tangible and unemotional goal.
Today??? We're literally just crying and attempting to shame people into feeling differently. . . An emotional and literally intangible goal.
Intersectionality attempts to act as if all those who are "oppressed" are TANGIBLY oppressed in the same way. . . We're not.
