Cancun have been active for the past couple years apparentlyI'd be damed if I spend thousands of dollars to go to an all inclusive resort and get caught in a shootout between drug dealers.
Can say here in Baltimore for that bullshyt![]()
Damn. I never knew this. Great way for the cartel to make extra money or to cut into some money. But in a nation like Mexico where the cartels bribe authorities and kinda run things, it’s hard to imagine the cartels needing to even wash money or put money into anything legitimate. It's always been rumblings that most of these resorts are either cartel funded or affiliated.
Syncretism is heavy in Mexico and all Roman Catholic cultures in Latin America and the Caribbean. Syncretism in the Roman Catholic sense, is the blending Roman Catholic rites and customs with indigenous and ancestral-pagan religious customers and rites and gods. It happens. They have a patron saint for everything in Mexico. Patron saint of smuggling, death, etc. Adding extra “saints” is something that’s common in catholic syncretism in these countries. You see it with vodou in certain Caribbean nations. Slavery, forced conversions, violence, and colonization will do that to a people. If you come with the gun, whips, and chains in one hand and the Bible in the other, instead of coming as just plain old missionaries bringing the gospel, then this is the end result. And it takes a while to be undone. There's demons in Mexico.
They just got done celebrating dia de los muertos.
Something is wrong in that culture, like a lot of majority roman catholic areas. Not all Mexicans are like that, but this is something that needs to be talked about.

Nah not in Mexico a tourist got clipped last month, in a resort areaDamn, I thought there was a kind of understanding that this kinda thing was to be kept out of the resort areas?
Some nikkas getting bodied over this. The millions of dollars of lost future tourist money is gonna make sure heads role to make a example of them. The Mexico elites are the real cartel.
