There's that many of them? :leon:
I mean you constantly see all these new apartments and condos springing up, are there really that many rich people up there and other cities in general? Not even being funny. I guess rich people move to NYC everyday. Where will all the regular folk live? Smh.
It's not just white people. There's a lot of Chinese investment in real estate here:

Chinese Now The Largest Group Of Foreign Investors In U.S. Commercial Real Estate
Chinese Investment In U.S. Real Estate Is Going Strong
Chinese Investment In Overseas Real Estate Hit Record High In 2016

I remember back in the early 2000s my first apartment was one of those luxury joints with stainless steel and all that. In the best part of town back home in Memphis. 850. I checked the rates out of curiosity, now they 1375 a month.

Apartment rent nationwide has gotten ridiculous. Even white folks are roommating it up heavy. Especially here in Atlanta.

You can get a three bedroom joint on Ponce or midtown for like 1800 a month. Split that three ways that's 600. These Cacs get along though and don't be trying to finesse each other.

They live that way until they get married or get a mortgage.

We refuse to do that even if it's our only practical option.
Nah bro, damn near everybody I know in NY has been doing the roommate thing for as far as I can remember. I'm talkin my family, friends I went to school wit

Yeah, we want to live in large spaces in places where entertainment goes down 24/7 where real estate is sky rocket high.

Thing about rich people, or at least most rich people I would assume is that they're smart with their money. Renting for that price isn't smart at all. I mean if you got the money, hey... But rich people usually stay rich by making smart decisions. Why rent when you can own? Rich people own, they don't rent. So I doubt there's as much ppl renting these places like we think. I'd bet that it's vacant as fukk in most of these deluxe apartments

And you would be wrong.

It has nothing to do with rich. It's demand. A plethora of people desire to live in certain areas no matter the cost. That's what is driving up prices. You have immigration and national migration.

But the culture :mjlol:
They have the largest transit system in the country but insist on living right in the midst of everything and NOT using the transit system for thier benefit. That'd be like if Chicago had a train that could take me to Wisconsin or Indiana in 30 minutes, and the real estate was 1/3 of the price. East coast people talk so much shyt about NJ/MA but then turn around and pay 2 thousand to live in a closet in the boroughs with rats roaches and mice. :scust:
