This was straight. I def like the 1st hour more then the 2nd. Jamie was cool but wasn't that funny to me. Teyonah accent. I just didn't buy it. And there was one part where she talked like her normal self. Which really threw me off. And yes she still fine. Boyega was the best part. Didn't say much but he "spoke" without speaking.
The 1st hour dope with how they put all the conspiracies together. And the action adventure. It was just hard to suspend belief on certain things
Was thinking it would be closer to Sorry to Bother You or Blindspotting but it felt really light and managed to traffic in stereotypes and deflect the criticism
Needed to dial up the tension, or dial up the humor, the movie just doesn't have a tone that works. Why am I watching this? Is how I felt for most of it. It really wasn't very funny. The writing was pretty light. The concept I have seen before, and had some interesting aspects, but it wasn't scary, and it wasn't funny, so again, for what reason am I watching?
I just finished watching it and I fukked with it. The ending creates possibility for a sequel. I'm confused what year this movie is supposed to take place in and where though. So much shyt was all over the place.
