Working in the lab is cool; if you love science. You will work with people that hate their job also because they could not make it in to medical school. Getting minor in bio medical science is good; but look into getting a minor in chemistry. Because the chemisty field is the big money maker.
There is a lot of testing you can do with a bio degree. I started out in molecular biology testing for hiv and genetic research. Genetic testing is very broad and you might have to see what field you want to look into.
