They should do the skills competition + the game.

Just like the Home Run Derby and 3pt/Dunk contest are the warmups for the actual game.

It would help get more recognition for anyone not named Brady/Manning and introduce casual fans to other positions. But, I get the feeling the NFL doesn't do this so it still remains people are fans of Teams and not players who they like to keep expendable.

Fans vote in starters, coaches vote in reserves, have a Skills challenge weekend, just like the NBA does. It would be better than seeing what they're throwing out there now...it's damn near irrelevant now

You could make it after 10 games, put it in the middle of the season, put a bye week around it so players can rest and play. I think a big part of why it's not popular is b/c the season is already over, the other major sports have all star games in the middle of the season & have much more entertaining all star game contests...and if folks are scared they might get hurt they should just cancel it all together

Its true I don't know when the last time they had it but I remember back in 06 when they had they had that bench rep press and it was Larry Allen but he still won, and that athletic obstacle course that Torry **** won but I think a punter/kicker came in second/third place, I was like
