They should replace the Pro Bowl with a skills competition

Disagree the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest but you need the entire season to judge if a player is at the best at his position. I actually think it should be played later after the Superbowl like late Feb early march.

I disagree...remember most of this is a popularity contest so the Peyton Manning's & Adrian Petersen's will always get top billing. With coaches picking the reserves they would do a great job picking b/c their scouting players & the league 24/7. I know it sounds far fetched but it could work

Yea but a lot of players started out good and fell off by the last 3rd of the season and the cream rises to the top.

play it on Saturday
It would be good for the college players to get to spend a week around pro bowlers
it will bring more people around
the stadium will actually be packed

They should make it a skills competition, play flag football like shock n jock back when MTV actually showed music and invite a bunch of models and famous people to play.
3 man o-line. 2 d-lineman. All man to man. All shotgun (So no QB breaks an ankle because someone stepped on his foot). The final score could be 99-103 and everyone would watch. Just don't play on the beach because that's how knees get demolished.

injuries are a big deal in football. its the reason no one really watches the pro bowl...football half assed is not good.

Not replace it but ads it to the event. Have a skills competition on a Saturday and the game on a Sunday
I wouldn't call baseball a half ass All Star game. Pitchers and batters are still playing it the same way.
