These storms will definitely impact our food supply. But who do you think will eat first off of what's left?

As one poster said, people in big coastal cities have organic food that's probably grown with love in greenhouses. The cost will go up but those people are already used to paying more money for quality food.

Now who does that leave?

If you don't have organic money or you live in a food desert, your food bill is about to get crazy.

Last time I checked most of us don't have organic farm to table money, and black inner city neighborhoods are the worst food deserts out there.

So if the logic is that this is punishment, who exactly is god punishing?

Farmers are one of the most important components of a nation, we do NOT want our farmers struggling. Struggling farmers mean quitting farmers, quitting farmers means the land is controlled by agribusiness, and when agribusiness gets a monopoly over your food then the same thing will happen every time corporations get a monopoly over anything - shytty quality, contaminated goods, and the land will be destroyed in short order for the sake of profits.

I wish there were more Black farmers. There NEEDS to be more Black farmers. But right now we have the farmers that we have, and we want them to do well or we're all going to be screwed.
