the village, was good imo, also.

although his last 2 movies weren't that great, i think the hatred for him is a little too much.

a lot of folks hate him because he's indian (you know that shyt's true)

and in a way, he's a victim of his own success, buy starting off with very good movies in succession.

:comeon:

He had a spark when he started.

Really, after that trash "The Last Airbender", I denounced M Night.

But I'll see what kind of reviews this gets. I like Will Smith and "Unbreakable" was :lawd:

If this sucks, M Night is dead to me.

who's letting him??
it's HIS production company that is producing it. Actually its co-produced by Will SMith's Production company as well

ANYONE can make a movie if you have enough money for it
Still need a distributor

i agree, he gets more hate that avg. gotta remember tho, most ppl are too dumb to get any type of serious twist or bends in a movie plot. I liked village and devil, good movies IMO.

6th sense and unbreakable were top notch to start, he was trash afterwards

i dont think its a racial thing, its like an inverse lebron phenomena - winning in the beginning and just coming up short or not delivering, but probably much worse so

The Village twist wasn't that hard to get, stop acting like M Night is Hitchcock Psycho with his.

Dude has 2 great movies, one good movie, and the rest are :trash:

Him of all directors getting Will Smith as a lead actor is an instant way of gaining some kind of credibility with audiences (even though there are a bunch of people who still watch his movies). A moment that is gonna forever stay with me is when I was in a theater and the trailer for the movie Devil came on. People seemed interested in it and then M. Night Shyamalan appeared on the screen. Nothing but chuckles and sighs of disappointment collectively heard throughout the crowd.

Will Smith is associated with quality movies in my mind. Doesn't have to be :krs: all the time, but generally good.

So according to the plot synopsis, will smith gonna be trapped in a cockpit the whole movie while his son looks for a rescue beacon..probably be a bunch of boring flashbacks. I know its early but idk bout this one....

This sounds like it can be okay. M. Night's problem has been his scripts, he started feeling himself too much and got too far up his own ass. His films are shot wonderfully and the performances are usually okay too.

Sixth Sense is classic and memorable.

Unbreakable is still the best super hero deconstruction.

Signs is fantastic in my eyes but some can't overlook the water thing (Still, once again, excellent performances and shot soooooooooo damn good regardless of what you think of one plot point/hole). I personally think it's as good as it gets as far as "Family going through alien invasion" goes but like I said...that damn water.

The Village was boring but I still give him a pass for being genuinely creepy at times, and all "period" movies are boring to an extent.

Lady In The Water was just....so damn dumb. I liked the idea of a modern fairy tale, but there are so many instances in that movie where you could just FEEL that somebody should have said "Hold up, lets tone it down a bit M" but dude just had to make what he wanted. That movie is some George Lucas prequel shyt, nobody standing up to this cat to edit his ideas.

The Happening....:snoop: I blame Shyamalan, Wahlberg, AND Deschanel for that shyt. Clusterfukk, and the only film of his I've seen where even the performances lacked. No memorable imagery either.

Never seen Airbender.

How many mistakes his Will made since WWW? I see very few, if any at all outside of Seven Pounds.

To be fair, Seven Pounds was only critically shunned...it still made money, lots of it too considering what kind of movie it was....:smugfavre:

If he hadn't
done that Jellyfish thing and just offed himself with a bullet in the head
like a regular person, I guarantee people wouldn't be so harsh on it....
