If only people like Tariq had the energy they have for "tethers" for these cacs

Busy fighting with Jamaicans and Puerto Ricans but the whites freely just took all they want then sued others for sampling the same shyt they stole.

The worthless opinion of a lowbrow, non-FBA coward hiding behind a computer in Canada, while doing nothing of substance to advance/gatekeep their own culture.

The difference is that Clapton, and many of the early white rock bands admitted that they copied black Americans. Meanwhile jamaicans and Ricans are in denial. The beatles are on record ADMITTING and giving flowers to the black Americans they copied
They were there tho. Hip hop being a BLACK American artform doesn't mean they didn't contribute. Most of the early Ricans were Black immigrants but they were Black regardless. The dispute is about who started what, I don't agree with Busta saying Jamaicans started shyt but they were in the mix. They can't steal nothing from you but props

The difference with Rock acts is you could make a grand lawsuit claim with the right efforts and receipts put into addressing this and get a mas label payout to some blues foundation. This other shyt is just a pissing contest in contrast.

What! nikka please. The stones were flagrant. Throw that bum van Morrisson in the mix too.
:russ:
Yeah early Stones was super flagrant if anything they were even worse. They didn’t even put their own spin on those blues songs. Stones were just doing blues covers and blew up from it. John Lennon even song about it in a song called “Dig a pony” about the Stones just being imitators

It's because even in white rock circles they get shytted on for stealing from blues artists. It's one thing to be inspired and influenced but they were flat out stealing and withholding credit.

Not trying to cape for Led Zeppelin but music thievery in the old days was rampant before the advent of Major label legal departments in the late 70s caught up to the affordability/proliferation of Home and car stereos .

Early White Rock and Roll artists started out paying homage to the blues and if it wasn’t for them a lot of those guys would’ve died nameless.

They never hid their influences and elevated those songs to a level the original artist never intended.

They wasn’t popular for the source material, they was popular because John Bonham is the greatest rock drummer of all time, Jimmy Page is top 3 lead rock guitarist all time, and Robert Plant is the rock star archetype.
