Grow up in a igloo in a 98.5% non-black cultureless country and think you have anything of value to add to a hip-hop discussion brehs

Go play with @Billy Ocean or something

Good thing Braveheart 09 comes from a place with better demographics and more Black culture, right breh? It's always good to see how you value his opinion.

Your Chris Tucker gif aint gonna cut it. Let's see where this is gonna go and how deeply you can deflect. By the way, what has DC contributed to hip hop again? (You're allowed 1 more deflection)

That's a lot of street signs you can take a video of then breh :sas2:

I'm 34. I'm married with kids. My wife and I are both attorneys. We make $300k a year. I live in a $750k townhouse. I have two other rental properties in downtown DC. All told, about 1.5 million in real estate. Oh - and I grew up broke - on Medicaid and all that. First person in my family to go to college.
Today - while you were writing novels about me - I was with my kids at the pool.

Eastern High School sounds like it's within range. Probably not even 15 minutes away :ehh:

@ me when you get here. We'll take the video together

This Dunya...and Beyond
Worst part is obvious now that I think about it…The East Coast vs. West Coast bullshyt

I remember how hyped it was by the media, how average fans would argue about it, how rappers who knew better like Cube went all in on that dumb shyt. It was such an obvious divide and conquer ploy, and so many people fell right into the trap. I remember when kids loved NWA and Ice-T as much as Public Enemy and KRS. The first time I really noticed the schism was with that dumbass "fukk Compton" song by Tim Dawg. :snoop:

I thought the song was comical back when it came out, even though he dissed some of my favorite rappers. But, looking back on it, the song was utter garbage, and it was pure sour grapes/jealousy. As if NWA and Quik were the problem with hip hop back then. As if Compton wasn't a real city that didn't deserve to be on the stage. :what:

Obviously, things got worse with the whole Death Row vs. Bad Boy feud, which eventually led to 2 legends dying in their primes. I wonder what hip hop could've been without that East vs. West crap.

Just gonna post this because I saw it when I was pulling up the Question Mark video and you probably never heard this - this was a Bay Area group on that "real" hip hop vibe. They were Sway and Tech's group.
Classic - album was dope too.

You're forgetting about the video shows/magazines. You wouldn't hear OGC on daytime radio in CA, but you'd see the video on Rap City/Yo MTV Raps. Plus you'd see them in the Source or other magazines.

Triple 6 is a different story though, before 97. They weren't on a major label. They weren't getting video play on the nationwide shows and they weren't getting write ups in the Source. Now maybe they had an ad in the Source before they went nationwide, but not a write up (to my knowledge). They were truly local in every sense of the word. Other than word of mouth/family.
Late night tip used to get played on the box constantly. That was 96.
