Watching that Chapelle special got me thinking about getting a gun again. Never owned one, but would like to get one. Not all that serious though. Don't want a handgun because I want something purely for home defense and I think a shotgun is more effectiive. Plus, you don't have to worry about your misses going a 1/2 mile and hitting a school bus or something.
I think it would be dumb to get some big ass rifle like this because I'd probably be using it in a house:
I was thinking about one of those "tactical" one's with a pistol grip. Was almost settled on a Mossberg 500:
Started looking around on outdoorsman websites saw these
Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, but they run about $800 each. They've got 2 tubes to hold your shells so you can switch between either one. Kind of like what Dave was talking about in his special, bird shot to warn them, slugs to if they didn't listen.
That's a lot for something I'll probably never use. But if ever move out of the city I'm getting one.
