Watching that Chapelle special got me thinking about getting a gun again. Never owned one, but would like to get one. Not all that serious though. Don't want a handgun because I want something purely for home defense and I think a shotgun is more effectiive. Plus, you don't have to worry about your misses going a 1/2 mile and hitting a school bus or something.

I think it would be dumb to get some big ass rifle like this because I'd probably be using it in a house:

I was thinking about one of those "tactical" one's with a pistol grip. Was almost settled on a Mossberg 500:

Started looking around on outdoorsman websites saw these :damn:

:banderas: Looks like something out of a sci-fi movie, but they run about $800 each. They've got 2 tubes to hold your shells so you can switch between either one. Kind of like what Dave was talking about in his special, bird shot to warn them, slugs to if they didn't listen.

That's a lot for something I'll probably never use. But if ever move out of the city I'm getting one.

I think a shotgun is the way to go too for home security. My friend had a fancy one in Oklahoma. He pulled it out one day and cocked it and everybody in the room was like :merchant:

You can’t get that type of immediate attention with a pistol

What kind of dumb ass post is this. He was clearly exaggerating. But a shotgun is the perfect home protection weapon, cause you don’t have to be AS concerned with aim if shyt pop off

If youre not concerned or not AS concerned as you put it with safety, technique, and training and you are concerned about hypothetical situations that can go wrong then do not buy a gun. His priorities are not straight and buying a gun is not a hasty decision.

One training course and his 'concern' would be alleviated. The he could make a more informed decision on obtaining a firearm.

But yo amount of rounds is limited...

What if they come deep like 4-5 masked up. One or two shots ain’t gon get them all without reloading.
