NO, don't do this, I did this 2 years ago because I didn't want get a xbox one x, the 360 fan was so damn loud.
Just get an xbox one x or s, you can play all your 360 games that you still have the disc too or digitally

In all seriousness, I'm trying to understand your perspective but I'm struggling, breh. To Microsoft's credit, they have the most comprehensive library of backwards compatible games in the business. The Series S is dirt cheap and not only will allow you to play your old favorites, but present day titles, too. If you're not big on digital, the One X is a great move. The SS was tailor made for gamers such as yourself. Spend $100 more for a better experience.

I want to cop a XBOX 360 to play a bunch of games i missed out on, mostly the old 2k & madden games and midnight club, old halo etc.

From my research the XBOX 360 E was the last model to be released. my question is, does it suffer from the red ring of death as well? Is it reliable? I've read good things on it such as it being quiet and i like the look of it compared to the others.

Amazon has a refurbished model at $250 but that might be too much. Im looking on ebay and the sweet spot for a decent looking console is at $100-165. I dont want to pay over $200 to be honest.

Should i look at a different model? do you know of a site selling a clean one for cheap?
Every Xbox is backwards compatible so you can get an Xbox one for as low as 50 dollars. The red ring of death series bring a thing after the first revision. fukk no at $250, I paid $200 for my Xbox one x with 8 games.

Gamepass comes with EA play so most of the games you named are available as part of gamepass already. You don't even need a console, you can start streaming these games today on your phone or PC. Gamepass ultimate is free for the first month, try it out

No one is even reading what OP is saying and is trying to push him into something he didn’t ask for. Same bullhead nonsense the Arcadium is on.

The Xbox One is backwards compatible with the 360, yes, but it’s not compatible with every 360 game, and OP specifically called out several games he wanted to play that won’t work on XB1. Yet you are all trying to push him into it:francis:

OP, getting that version of the 360 shouldn't give you any problems with the RROD, it was specifically made to fix those issues. Now the reason you are probably seeing it at $200+ is that Microsoft stopped manufacturing the console years ago, and while its not a rare, that does bring the value up a little. eBay might be your best bet if you are looking for lower prices tbh.

It doesn't get the red rings of death, I have this version...

second this notion...I didn’t get a 360 even tho they had a lot of exclusives that piqued my interest cuz of RROD...bought the ‘E’ toward the end of that gen and it was reliable...granted OP probably gonna be buying a used/refurbished one at this point so other issues may arise

Amazon has a refurbished model at $250 but that might be too much.

way too expensive...that’s how much I recently paid for a NEW PS3 (original box/packaging) on ebay...granted I got lucky...it was an auction and when I googled the seller after she sent it to me I seen it was an old jewish woman...maybe she bought it as a gift a long time ago for her grandson or some shyt and forgot to give it to him or he died...who knows...but I would fukk with ebay and see

*edit*

you might not have any choice but to do refurbished/used unless you can be patient and wait...but I’m not seeing any established sellers with high positive feedback doing auctions for new xbox 360 Es...there’s one guy with zero feedback doing an auction for a “new” one that has clearly been taken out the box...everyone else is tryna beat buyers over the head with ridiculous buy it now prices...this was the case initially when I wanted to buy a new PS3 so I held off on it...eventually came across the auction that I won

I just re added my PS3 fat back into my console rotation. I took my xbox one out since it get's the least amount of play time and i'll probably have it hooked up until I can get my hands on a Series X. The PS5 fat and the PS3 fat are a match made in heaven. PS5 for PS4 and PS5 games and PS3 fat for PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. I love them two fat bytches.

agree with everything but the X1X “slander”...but ya I have the PS3 PS5 X1X side by side on the shelf and my switch next to the TV...I would’ve liked to keep the PS4 in the mix as a “glorified” HD since it had 2TB but ultimately it didn’t make sense to hold onto it with the PS5 being backwards compatible and I wasn’t gonna be playing all those games at once so I didn’t need to force the HD issue
