It’s the same so called Lakers fans aka Kobe stans that have been actively rooting against LeBron and their own team success since he got there :mjlol:
They've done a piss poor job of hiding the fact that they've been actively rooting for the Lakers to fail the last 4 seasons:russ:

The Traps of Unified Korea
good balanced video about his skills and also how the evolution of the league and also the lineups make it easier for him to score now vs in the past. even some comic relief adding possibly a travel on a blatant travel on a clip where he praises his finishing.
Thinking Basketball is a fantastic channel. All in-depth analysis free of standom. He issues praise and criticism equally.

His Greatest Peaks series from this time last year is legit 20-30min analysis of some of the best players ever at their best.

So what?

Only select players have done that and they did it in an era where the rules and spacing was more optimal for racking up steals and blocks

Players like Sidney Moncrief and Dennis Rodman won DPoY without even averaging a steal or block a game

If steals+blocks is your defensive barometer LeBron this season is still one of the strongest defensive playmakers in the league he’s also top 10 in charges drawn :mjlol:

that’s the point.

Your opinion is based on your blinded fandom of MJ. You only ever post on this sub forum when it concerns MJ. You’re like many MJ Stans, in that you love him more than you love the game, itself. There’s no sense in trying to make y’all see sense, because you won’t. It’s a religion for you to stan MJ, which is why you can’t see anything outside the realm of that world.

It’s not odd I brought up that year, at all. I’m using the exact logic @Dwight Howard used to state Bron wasn’t “dominating basketball” and merely putting up “empty stats”, all because his team has a sub .500 record. Stating that MJ scored more points goes against your argument because it suggests he was stat-padding even more if we follow @Dwight Howard’s logic. Which is funny too because a lot of the criticism aimed at MJ early in his career was indeed based around him being one dimensional and to the effect of putting up empty stats.

i was watching basketball before MJ so no I still watch the game to this day. I am a MJ Stan because I’ve yet to see anyone do what he can do from top to bottom.

the empty stats argument you quote fails because again MJ is scoring, but also bringing it defensively. He’s bringing effort on both sides of the ball. His supporting cast was weaker yet he was still hustling on offense and defense. 236 steals n 125 blocks in one year isn’t some easy stat or else there’s be a bunch of wings who have done it before and since. I watched that season, he was elite defensively. They finished 40-42, yes a sub .500 record, but they made the REAL playoffs because MJ wasn’t just scoring, he was doing what he could defensively as well to win.

U don’t know shyt about defense or how to analyze basketball just give it up

For the most part MJ played with strong defensive supporting casts that allowed him to play his boom or bust defensive style

He would not look anywhere near as good playing on this flawed decrepit roster in the modern pace and space NBA. This is a team that lacks bigs and wings and does not protect the rim or three point line well and is prone to defensive breakdowns all over the floor especially in transition.

the roster he had was worse by far in 86-87 I don’t know what you’re talking about. And in todays nba MJ would’ve been even better imo. The overwhelming majority of players/coaches and management have said MJ would’ve been even better with todays nba……..

U comparing a 23 year old Michael to a 37 year old LeBron

Wizards Jordan at 38 was a neutral to negative defender according to the metrics on the 21st ranked defense in the league in a snail paced era

I didn’t make the comparison. Someone else did, and I commented it’s not a good one at all.

please someone show me a wing player in todays nba that averaged over 37 ppg, over 3000 points in a season, over 85% ft, with 236 steals and 125 blocks.

you could argue his next year was better when he won dpoy and the scoring title, averaging over 35ppg while still shooting over 84% ft, but led the league in steals with 259 and had more blocks at 131.

Brolic... Alcoholics
That doesn’t mean they’re empty though. It’s not that black and white, but I guess because it’s Bron y’all look for any way to claim that they are.

nikka I been off that shyt since Kobe died bruh. Life is too short to be that worried about a person that I will never meet.

All I'm saying is he's putting up dope numbers. I even gave him props for the 50 point games. But in the Phoenix, Toronto, and Minny games we got our asses handed to us. That's all that matters as a Laker fan.
