@O Fenômeno

Thanks breh, I think I'm leaning towards the air force now more. :patrice:

Would it be hard for me to get in though?
:myman:

Good choice...most of the people in the Navy were wishing they joined the AF.

I mean I joined back in 2008 and even then the Air Force were picky....you gotta score high on your ASVAB. Though in some places they don't even wanna talk to you because they have their quota.

Only thing holding you back would be

-Asvab score
-If the AF filled their quota
-Medical problems during your screening.

And keep in mind nowadays you don't ship off to boot camp the next day after you swear in....you might be waiting a few months...

Oh and in the meantime stay in college...them credits could help you become a E-2 or E-3 uopn completion of bootcamp.

No job, doing crappy in school, broke, unmotivated and have no idea what I want to do in life.

Army, Navy, Marines? Any one have some experience in these branches?

I don't know breh shyts depressing. I need some purpose in life and I don't think I'm cut out for this academic shyt. Any advice for a young breh? :mjcry:
Good thats where most nikkas go who aint got shyt going in life, I did it when 18 because I was like you wasnt great in school and didnt have a trade. I did the max 6 years and realize I wasted abunch of life because I had no intention to retire so it was a waste. Now I'm in my third year of college looking around at the younger students wishing I would have done this sooner then later.

The site says 38 but you have a better chance if you get a higher score....

They're turning down people with lower scores....there are stories where they turned down people with 50s..my boy got a 72 and they didn't want him.:manny:

Lemme gohead and ground you real quick...:whoa:. 3 Questions...if no to any of them, then go to community college breh.

1. Do you use drugs..heavily/recently..and can you honestly give them up?

2. Do you have a criminal history?

3. Are you fit?

No to any of these will either out right eliminate your chances for any Branch these days. Marines and Army used to waive some items but with the drawdown and troop cuts...no love. You need to really identify your interests as in career field, this translates into what job you desire (to be trained in) If your sole goal is money...then you need better MOS choices...in lieu of better ASVAB score. Generally these jobs are Medical repair, Avionics, IT, Intelligence, and so on. This training combined with a mature drive to combine with College/Certification is how the "money goal" is reached. The military will allow you to gain experience in the field by real world application. It takes drive and ambition to get promoted tho, which is how your money increases while still in Military. All branches have relatively the same job pools, exception being the Marine and Army Symmetric/Assymetric land warfighting needs, this of course feeds into jobs that make you an individual that is fine with eliminating other humans in close combat efficiently. Those skillsets vary, but generally are limited... as to how that may translate once you exit the service to find employment that values them. It has been in my experience that once you get your training and fill of guts and glory....you reclassify/retrain into a marketable skill.

I can only recommend the Air Force, granted they require the highest ASVAB score besides the Coast Guard, IIRC.
If you graduated high school, you should be able to net a 60-70 on the ASVAB at minimum.
:comeon:
Got friends in the Army and they're doing fine, too.

If it's not on your record when the recruiter runs your shyt...you are gold.:ehh:

I would verify that with summoning official/law enforcement, that is will not be on your record. Get it in writing if possible, tell them your desire to enlist, and never mention to your recruiter until asked about this specific issue. :salute:
