I'm 27, two kids, still married. I've been stuck at the same dead end job for the past 7 years. My family needs a better future and I feel like I just keep running in circles this whole time. Would signing up for the army be worth it? I just hate that I'm going to have to spend so much time away from my kids but maybe it'll be the best thing for them in the long wrong.

Nah i don't and I can't. I've been saying I'm going to go to school but things keep getting in the way. My youngest son will be going to school all day next year so I'll have that time to do something but I don't want to sit around till then

Sign up for the Air Force you’ll spend a little time away from your family with basic and tech school after that you’ll have a moving process to your first duty station pick a job that You can do on the outside

The biggest thing is you and your family moving away from home your wife getting adjusted to changing living places every 2 to 3 years same with your kids with school and things of that nature. So when you speak to your wife try to explain to her the moving situation cause some women wouldn’t want you to go because they want to have their careers with in a company instead of changing career and jobs every 2 to 3 years etc

ASVAB aint hard at all, I got a 93 with absolutely no studying and had been outta college about 8 years. MEPS will put u through a lot of bullshyt though if u ever been hospitalized, had surgery, anything related to health. They wanted medical records from when I had a surgery at 8 years old.

The only thing that may get to you is younger JNCOs telling you what to do and some will be dikks about it, if you can get over that join up but yh go airforce

Find an apprenticeship wherever you live.

Pay attention people. Dont let anyone tell you unions aren’t good anymore. Most people who say that have never worked for one. They let their non union companies tell them about unions. You wouldn’t go to court without a lawyer, why are you working without union representation?
