They make you go through hoops for student loans

Who does? They practically give you loans for college unless you have some sort of history already or unless you’re getting the loan and you’re under your parent’s income. As soon as I started applying for myself, I’d get like double what I needed sometimes...

You should submit a fafsa form and/or go to the financial aid office of your university from up to date instructions and information regarding the process

I'm 27, two kids, still married. I've been stuck at the same dead end job for the past 7 years. My family needs a better future and I feel like I just keep running in circles this whole time. Would signing up for the army be worth it? I just hate that I'm going to have to spend so much time away from my kids but maybe it'll be the best thing for them in the long wrong.

GI Bill that pays for college + ur rent and some spending money when u get out

Depending on ur job, job experience
U learn how to deal w stress and become stronger mentally

Cons

U can end up killed or fukked up for life
U will see some shyt that will damage u for the rest of ur life
Its a government job so ull meet alot of lazy unambitious clock punchers
shytty leadership
Long work hours sometimes
Getting up early
Depending on the branch or unit hurting urself from all the strain from unit PT
If u live in the barracks random inspections, NCOs all in ur business/no privacy
Being treated like a kid
When one person fukks up you all have to pay
Racism
Military haters

Relax Airborne (I’m nothing but a dirty leg so I kid)

This man is already 27, which means he’s well past the age of the cool guy shyt in a airborne infantry unit being worth the long term damage to his body

He needs to go MI, FI, AG, etc

Earn a steady paycheck for the family less taxing on the body

Start going to counseling in your last year before you get out...for depression or something.

Any health problems...go and get it put in your medical record. Back ache..goto medical..

It will be easier to get a service connected disability...especially PTSD.

If you decide to join the military on a whim and it hasnt been your goal before now then it usually means you aint cut out for it. And you're just trying to fill an emptiness in your life.
