get a better job

I work from home 2 days a week and I'm grossly overpaid. it really is up to you
What do you do?

I have the same problem with a 9 to 5. Not to mention most of my homies only get like 2.5% a year of vacation time.

Like 10 vacation days a YEAR. Wtf. U mean to tell me a nikka can slave 50.5 weeks a years only to have a week and a couple days off a year?!

That's barely enough time to go on a week vacation if you add travel and preparation.

Stop complaining and position yourself to get a better job.
I am also able to work from home....with that said if the company ever wants to save money, they could easily ship my job to India

Sparking blunts in the shade.
I'm tryna get into trucking now
How bad is it?

It's not bad. You're not gonna have anymore freedom unless you're your own boss. I'm not gonna lie OTR is hard to get used to. After you see all the cities you wanted to see, it becomes a job. A job that takes you away from family and friends for long stretches. I'm about to go local and it shyts on OTR. Home everyday, weekends off, and the pay is almost going to be the same. With that said, while I'm driving locally I'm going to be working on becoming my own boss in my free time. As much freedom as I'm allowed driving it's still not enough. I'm not gonna be happy until I run my own show 100%.

How long you been driving?

I have a couple of friends who do that.

Almost a year.

See the cons that you are talking about in trucking are kinda what truckers who love trucking love about it. Never being home ect. Long distance truck driving is for single men who want to be gone all the time. If you want to be home all the time. Long distance truck driving isn't for you.

That's pretty much what I figured. I don't mind traveling and being away for a while stacking up money and u can always take local and regional jobs once u get some experience under your belt.
