Cube easily,

Nas over his whole career yes, Nas's best album yes.

But "Peak" as in period in ones career? No one can fukk with Cube.
88 - 91, that's 4 years of blazing everyone.

Nas's is randomly spread out over 20 years, Cubes greatness is highly concentrated.

As far as meaning more to hiphop, are you kidding me?
Cube, don't know how anyone could disagree about that. We got a Hollywood blockbuster last year showcasing half of the reasons to why.

Cube is cool but he's not seeing Nas on any level. Nice try.

What are we considering their prime solo years? I think the consensus is that Nas was an elite MC for a longer period of time than Cube. I believe Cube fell off after Lethal Injection, while Nas continues to churn out quality projects and verses. If we're considering Cube's prime to be 90-93 (as a solo artist) then we have to take in account his solo albums during that period (AMW, Death Certificate, The Predator and Lethal Injection). If we consider Nas' prime the '94 through '98 clip then we take in account Illmatic, It Was Written, I Am, Nastradamus and Stillmatic. Out of all those 9 albums I consider Illmatic and It Was Written as good as any of those Cube albums. And Stillmatic is no slouch either.I don't see how Cube made that much better music than Nas in their respective primes.

Now in terms of influence, and what they meant for the culture...I give the edge to Cube. He was pivotal in the proliferation of both gangsta and socio-political rap. His impact during those years were HUGE.
