This shyt is so true. Human intelligence will suffer as AI takes over rote skills. Medicine and certain other industries REQUIRE soft skills. But much of the work that people do (besides the service industry) doesn't.

The wild thing is that academically the last 10-15 years has been dominated by ideological/cultural focus on STEM+medicine while disparaging soft skills. Which is why we're producing so many functionally stupid "smart" grads who cannot work effectively. Doctors who can't have basic conversations with patients. Finance/banking/accounting/etc people who can't talk to a client. IT people who can't explain (in layman's terms) stuff to their non-tech savvy bosses.

Soft skills are VERY important and I'm so glad they were focused on in my high school. I had a teacher tell me (years later) that one reason he cut me slack or helped me was because whenever he'd look at me during class I'd do a "oh I understand" nod. Little shyt like that makes you stand out. Even moreso now. I'm so tired of having to deal with these 2nd gen Asian and Indian grads who are socially retarded (and anti-black but that's another story). The 2nd gen Asian and Indian women are significantly more advanced than them, communication wise. And a lot of it boils down to their parents making sure these boys focus entirely on math and science with (literally) zero emphasis on language, reading, sociology, etc.

you think customers will accept AI lying to them all of the time?

M guess, most major retailers are going to use AI agents- now if you aren't good with that- you can choose to not spend your money with a company like that but eventually even smaller shops will go this route be they know the competition is doing it

plus GenAI will get smarter and more human like- now- I dont like this trend but it seems inevitable

if all companies move together than yes, consumers will have no choice. lawsuits will increase you'd imagine though.

based on what?

LLMs have hit a wall. video in previous post.

people making this statement on here.

like they did with blockchain.

and yeah here we sit with no blockchain quantum leap since satoshi.

the significant LLM change was in 2019.

the next quantum leap is still pending.

The Truth
Yeah

After fully watching the clip, Obama didn’t say anything new. All he did was regurgitate some white, silicone valley tech-bro he met back stage and told them how they are getting rid of low-level, white collar jobs soon…

Basically, non-essential shyt we knew was going to get hit first and I see that, but will it work and how will it affect the occupational world.

What we need to do is focus on how we handle things concerning AI before it truly matters, not to speed up and force people put of jobs before we actually know how Automating everything on it’s own will work.

Not just that, it's how we've effectively made people contextually retarded. Everything is taken at face value and thus we have AI junk going crazy, people gobbling up disinformation, no one doing any research and TikTok dominating peoples minds.

The effects are so much more than professional. There are no more critical thinkers.

like they did into blockchain .. with a quantum leap still pending.

which is why i mentioned bitcoin and by extension blockchain earlier.

you can't see the pattern"?

i asked which businesses are "trusting LLMs" a few posts back?

could you perhaps answer and specify what they are using them for?

When someone lacks soft-skills, that can be developed.

My real problem with zoomers is that a lot of the bullshyt they do is deliberate. They'll time their updates son they're not around to answer queries. They'll deliberately have a resting bytch face so that people don't approach them. They'll deliberately follow a process they know is fukking shyt up if they believe they can point the finger at someone else.
