I never said he was devoid of blame. There's a difference from being blameworthy and completely blameworthy. The audacity of people to say he's not a superstar is ridiculous. Wade took over because he was guarded by no one. A superstar can win you a game perhaps, but they won't perform was as the focal point of an incredible defense if no one else shows up. If those Lakers teams would've played the Spurs instead of the Suns, Kobe would've been swept out of those first rounds too. Look at how terrible LeBron played against the Celtics in 08 but the rest of his team stepped up. They were elite defensively. Without Amare, Lin and Shumpert, what exactly are the Knicks elite at?

Those Nuggets teams were winning 50 plus games every year in the regular season. Name the years that they were distinctly better than teams seeded above them. I'll wait.

No one but Breen is parroting for Melo gone in New Yrok. Tre stop making up storylines. I was sitting in NY last weekend chopping it up with people and listening to the radio. LeBron in the 4th quarter was FRESH. Melo had been out there for a minute. What did you want him to do? Hey Melo, you're going to work impossibly hard to score on offense because none of the rest of your squad can do anything and then we also want you to guard the best player in the world intensely. Get out of here Tre. You've never been a Melo supporter and were looking for a reason.

he's not a superstar because he plays one side of the ball and he plays one style of offense: melo ball.

plus, unless I was living under a rock, wasn't it him that ordered the move to NY, even though the nuggets>>>>>knicks?

the rest of your essay is blah blah blah.

Breh, let's look at some of the rosters Carmelo's played on. I'll use a recent roster for reference: '09-10 Nuggets

Billups
Afflalo
Nene
K-Mart
Lawson
Smith
Birdman

Tell me how that team gets bounced in the first round with home court advantage. If you swap Durant and Melo on that squad, they probably have the best record in the league and they're definitely getting out of the first round.

He's had talent around him and '09 was the only year he did something with it. Last year they got crippled with injuries, but he also blew game 1 by hogging the ball away from Amar'e down the stretch.

So he's played on one side of the ball since he's been in NY? What does him wanting to move to NY have to do with the team he's on? Call what I said and essay if you'd like. I prefer to give reasoned responses instead of short-sighted and uneducated statements. :yeshrug:

And if we wanna compare players with poor rosters, McGrady played with some absolute DOGshyt rosters in Orlando and he at least won some games in the playoffs and played out of his mind in the process.

Listen, I'm studying so I'm not doing your homework for you. I said show me the years that his team was clearly more talented and better than the teams seeded above them. I also said show me the years they should've made it out of the first round. When you do that, I'll respond in full. But I bet you won't, because you can't. I mean you just posted up a season where they got LA in the first round. Prior to that they San Antonio. Then you state that Durant nonsense when Kevin Durant has been shut down in the playoffs by the likes of Shawn Marion, Ron Artest and even Battier gave him trouble on the perimeter last year for some games. In SINGLE coverage. Yet you think that you're going to insert Durant onto the Nuggets with ball-hogging AI and somehow they're getting the best record in the league in those years? Stop it.

Melo won some games too, what's your point? Then when T-Mac got talent around him he lost games he should have won. That's a horrible argument. Melo and Yao would not have lost to the Jazz.

They had home court against the Jazz in '10 and lost in 6. That's definitely a series they should have won.

I always thought that the spurs would have been a better match up than the suns for the lakers during 05-06 season because the suns were the only team that kobe couldn't outscore by himself. I remember there was some debate dealing with whether the lakers should stay the 7th seed and play the suns or fall to the 8th seed to play the spurs. But the shyt is done so I guess it doesn't matter any more :manny:
