As far as T-Mac goes. Losing 3-1 to the Bucks and Hornets and putting up big numbers is something I'm sure Melo can do.
You're blaming Melo for a series in which CARLOS BOOZER went ham on Kenyon Martin and he was being coached by an assistant?
Boozer had like 25 and 20 in game 6. No excuse. Melo was putting up 30 and getting double digit rebounds in that series. Didn't he drop 42 in the game 1 W? While Deron was swagging on Chauncey and JR was being JR? That Nuggets team that year was like this year's Knicks team with a better PG. You forgot that Nene wasn't there for that series and Johan Petro was out there?
That the definition of a "T-Mac in Orlando series." Dude put up numbers and lost. They could've won and probably should've but Boozer dominating Martin and the boards and Williams getting at Chauncey was a much bigger factor. Dude won game 1 by himself.
I always thought that the spurs would have been a better match up than the suns for the lakers during 05-06 season because the suns were the only team that kobe couldn't outscore by himself. I remember there was some debate dealing with whether the lakers should stay the 7th seed and play the suns or fall to the 8th seed to play the spurs. But the shyt is done so I guess it doesn't matter any more

Nene was in that series shooting 62%. He got hurt during game 5...after they'd lost 3 straight to go in a 3-1 hole.
Maybe if Melo had an impact on defense, they'da won that series

Hold up. I do remember that. I also remember Melo being hit with 3 offensive fouls in game 2 and having to play with fouls and be tentative. He still fouled out.
But you're making it seem like the guys Melo was guarding had good games in that series. Brewer and Miles didn't do anything (except game 4). You need to ask yourself how you're blaming Melo for Millsap dropping 22 and 10 or something like that off the bench in game 3. You're blaming Melo for a series in which his big men got manhandled.
If I drop 39 and 11 boards in a game and lose. I think the blame starts elsewhere. THOUGH, he did have a huge amount of turnovers in that game if I can remember. But he's the only one on that team that showed any heart in that game. That's when I knew they lost that series.
