Ehhhhh. First post seems a little -ish, but you know what, for argument's sake, let's say that you did everything that you said; do you really think that you are the rule? I was fukking and drinking (I admit not hard stuff though)at 15 and I feel like I'm blessed to be in my mid 20's and be gainfully employed, a college grad working on an advanced and working in a field where I help people. Do we really think that our stories are common to the point that we should dismiss all that shyt that appears in that video as "a little fun"? I realize that I was an idiot and a knucklehead to be doing all that I did. Am I going to wear a white hat and act holier than thou? No. But let's not act like this shyt is cool at all. Especially when you start involving guns and gangs in this shyt.

Lack of resources(jobs), being welfare dependent, and just the environment in general makes it easier to be in gangs or crime because the income is faster and its not hard to get into.


The college route is hard , 12 years making 50k a year trapping versus lil bruh in school learning living off allowance of $25 a week

I grew up in the worst neighborhood of newark. Im not going to incriminate myself but i grew up rough. Roaches in my crib looking like joes apartment. Family on drugs , saw people get killed in front of me before I could do multiplaction.

Im stronger than my environment and made a personal choice not to be a stat

I am still a apart of the inner black city. I know dudes who smoked their way through jr high to Ivy league schools.

The lil nikka chose to do that because he wanted to. Some people are easily impresonable , but from what I learned growing up in the hood people gon do what they want no matter how good the household is.

My cousin went to one of the best private schools in jersey and decided to become a killer just because he wanted to.

I have no sympathy for self destruction. Dudes in my hood got killed all the time and was doing what he was doing. Then there was dudes getting killed not doing what he was doing

Its extremes in every situation. But we have to agree thay an overwhelming positive and rewarding positivity would greatly influence poor youth to do better?

Agreed 100%, but again, doesn't mean we can't call stuff out when we see it.
We can acknowledge the lure of certain things without condoning it. We gotta start teaching our kids to see the long game. Gangs, guns, drugs all looks wonderful when you're in middle to high school, but how many 40 year old OG's you see?

I was the only positive role model I had besides my mom . I didn't even look up to her, i honestly looked up to myself and still do.
These dudes just gotta find courage and be their own strength .
