It's sole purpose is to stop you from using cash...

I just started doing this and went from a 650 to 817.

What you need OP is a card with points system and instead of using your debit card, use that card for EVERYTHING.

1) it provides a protection system for your real money
2) you get points for spending money you was going to spend anyway
3) it builds your credit

Don't worry about getting declined breh….People in the high 700s reported getting declined for cards that people in the low 700s get. Its just too many factors that different companies weigh. Just research a good card that you like and shoot your shot

Call your credit card company and find out when they report. Plan your payments off of that. The credit card company will work with you on that... my report shows that my utlilzation is at 0% but I currently have a balance of 1500...I have to pay it before the 25th to keep it at 0%. I pay it weekly regardless tho
