all of this pathetic shyt for a player who teams will purposely foul because he cant hit a freethrow to save his life and will fukk up the flow of your offense because he cant do shyt if it's not a putback or a lob

okc, warriors, and spurs all laughing at these silly nikkas.. shyt even the rockets

:what: my nikka, this time last year you were going ape shyt over Born Ready. Now you calling him a cancer believing the media bullshyt without any receipts, knowing our coach had it in for him. Do better fam,.

These verbal agreements, and this dumbass moratorium period needs to go by next summer. Silver needs to fix this

Dallas proceeded moving forward thinking they had Deandre signed. They inked Wes Matthews, made trades to make this possible. Can completely alter the course of their franchise

Not to mention one big signing sets into motion a domino effect with other signings around the league

I know it's for good fukkery and it's great seeing Cuban get screwed... but nah

Reflects poorly on the league period

I disagree.. sorry breh

what do you disagree with exactly?

I just think he has the right to play where he wants. Regardless of how he acted.

Im sure this happens in real life everyday. Someone agrees to work for an employer and then backs out.

Thats all. Its just one of those things. This doesnt even compare to the Laker/Chris Paul decision. Now THAT was a raw deal. Not this situation

breh, this thread isnt criticizing Deandre for his decision, its calling out the league for allowing this sort of fukkery when they could easily avoid it

So the league will just get rid of the dead period between verbal commit and allowing teams to sign. I say 48 hours from reaching a verbal you have to sign with the team. That seems fair.

You're missing the point then

Why even have a system that encourages handshake deals, instead of letting players sign when they're ready?

I agree with you. But I just think it's funny that that slimeball Cuban could do the same thing on the business side and then be like, "We never signed anything." :umad:

verbal agreements are made in business all the time, and they damn sure are binding. Sports aren't the real world though.

It's just this situation where it's a bad look. No agent would ever accept a verbal agreement to sign a client. They'd be like fukk that, I need that sig playboy. Y'all see how the Rock almost got played on Ballers. :sas2:

The NBA just needs to get rid of this dead period. I don't see the point of it. Why even allow verbal agreements to take place?

Technically you aren't supposed to have verbal agreements. You can only discuss terms, but can't agree to anything, whether it's in writing or orally.

complain about NBA FA and dont understand how the moratorium works

Doesn't matter what you think the verbal agreement is - it is written in the CBA that no contracts, even verbal, are supposed to happen during this period. Thing is the league knows they can't enforce it. Hence you've got shytty reporters blurting stuff out before the guys can even take their 1 week of allotted time to fully make a decision. The only thing DJ did wrong was not call Cuban back. If you're upset that he changed his mind which is exactly what he's supposed to do then go fukk yaself.

Its amazing how people continually come into this thread and think this is about Deandre and not the dumbass rules the league has setup

Can ya'll not read, or do you choose not too?
