This thread is killing me. We got a full blown MJ/Bron debate(that needs to stop, Bron had his shot its over for that). We got exchanges like above. People keeping it 100 and putting agendas to the side. :wow:.
Me and @houston911 already chopped it up behind the scene (via pm) on some grown man shyt let's do this for the culture type a shyt..on some let's do it for Freddie gray ish

You can't be 2-5 in your sports biggest game and be called the greatest brehs. That's Just awful. You make your name in the regular season, but you make your fame in the post season. LB albeit a dominant player, has fallen short way too many times in the championship game to be the GOAT.

the 92-93 bulls started bill cartwright for 63 games avg 5.6 ppg and 3.7 reb on 41.1 pct shooting. only 3 of the top 11 bulls who played 50+ games on the 3rd title team reached that mark again the next season, but rodney mccray was the only guy who didnt return. the bulls added wennington, longley, myers, kukoc, kerr, and blount, along with cartwright returning closer to the serviceable level of the 2nd bulls title team. while none of those guys are all stars, they improved the roster aside from the loss of jordan. the bulls had size and shooting which wins games.

only 2 of the 11 players who played 50+ games on the 09-10 cavs did so the following year. the players they added were ramon sessions, ryan hollins, and alonzo gee, christian eyenga, and manny harris as their new wing players. those wings make pete myers look like an all star. the cavs had size and shooting the 09-10 season, the following season they had neither. thats not all lebron.

the situations arent remotely similar which is why its a ridiculous comparison. the 98-99 bulls would be a closer comparison to the 10-11 cavs and even thats not similar.

You conveniently left out the fact that bulls team also had 2 other all stars in horace grant and bj armstrong.Grant was in a contract year and had the best season of his career up to that point and they lost in the 2nd round not the ecf

You're also conveniently leaving out the fact that the bulls in 94-95 were a struggling barely .500 team without MJ that was 34-31 and a 6 seed when mike returned.Pippen led them in all categories that year too

Bulls went 24-11 without pippen which was the 1 seed in the east but the way you worded it made it sound like they struggled and pippen just saved the season

mentioned in a separate post that they had their best seasons WITHOUT Mike. but let u nikkaz tell it....Mike made all of them better...even when he was retired :camby:

I mean, if you're gonna do the "Pip won 50+ without MJ and got to the ECF" argument to put LBJ over MJ, all one has to do is bring up Wade 2006 as a counter argument. Pip never won without MJ. On the flipside, LBJ's running mate already carved out a 1st ballot Hall Of Fame career in his 1st 7yrs and already had a Finals MVP. How many rings has Pip won without MJ. Heck, how many has LBJ won without Wade?

:sas2:

I never put LBJ over MJ. Stop tryin to deflect, I am dealing with only facts here and the fact is.....the Bulls were still a very good team when Mike retired. Just sayin Lebron is probably the most talented and possibly the best player to ever play. that doesnt mean his career was as great as MJ. it has not been. but has MJ career been as great as Russell?

there is no GOAT. you cant truly compare players from different eras....particularly in team sports.

Did you watch the Bulls documentary? Pippen was a scrub and mentally weak when he joined the bulls. Jordan made him into the player he became. He had the height and wing span but was a scrub from Central Ark

a scrub that was picked 5th overall despite NOBODY knowing who the fuq he was. :francis:
youtube when he was picked. nobody knew who he was. if he was a scrub....WITH NO NAME....there was no way he wouldve even been drafted, much less in the top 5. also.....he was 6'7" but was drafted as a guy who was forseen as being a PG eventually.

done with this stanathon though....its been real naggaz

When people think about the killer instinct, they always think of MJ and Kobe. Do people underestimate your killer instinct? People say you have it but not like those two. Do you think you have it like they do?

James: Ahh. I'll just put it this way, man. There are different ways to hunt. I watch the Discovery Channel all the time, and you look at all these animals in the wild. And they all hunt a different way to feed their families. They all kill a different way. Lions do it strategically -- two females will lead, and then everybody else will come in. Hyenas will just go for it. There are different ways to kill, and I don't think people understand that. Everybody wants everybody to kill the same way. Everybody wants everybody to kill like MJ or kill like Kobe. Magic didn't kill the way they killed. Does that mean he didn't have a killer instinct? Kareem didn't either. But does that mean Kareem didn't have a killer instinct? The same with Bird. That doesn't mean you don't have a killer instinct. Tim Duncan don't kill likeMichael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, but I've played against Tim Duncan twice in the Finals and I know for sure he's got a killer instinct. So there are different ways to kill. MJ had a killer instinct for sure. But if people really think that MJ didn't talk to nobody and didn't smile on the court, they're crazy. They're crazy. I've seen him. I was watching a clip the other day of him blocking Charles Barkley, and they're laughing about the play -- on the floor. Right now, if I block Kevin Durant on the floor, or I block Carmelo Anthony and we laugh about it? Ahh, I'm going to get killed [laughing]. I'm telling you. But there are different ways of killing.
