Keep his hands up would be a start. That's the only reason he got a shot off is because a damn center is trying to steal the ball from a guard at the top of the key. If he extends his arms , it would be hard for Curry to shoot over him.

With what agility?!

Hands up = beat to the paint , elbow pull up J / dish to for layup, or curry mix tapes his to the basket.

Hands down, he can move quicker, but curry can always step back and pull up.

It was a mismatch from the jump. If you are gonna guard curry you need someone like Kyrie Irving around. Gotta be quick as hell but to give him enough space to not get beat off the dribble but also be able to recover quickly when he tries to make space.

Why not hedge until the guard gets back on Steph? What about double teaming after the switch instead of keeping the big man on an island..giving up the two or making anyone else score other that klay>giving up the three to steph

What about the clutch? Why not at least trap with less than 3 mins left
When you hedge you are giving up a rolling Draymond/Bogut or a step back 3. Or he gives it to Draymond and Steph and Klay screen for each other on the baseline. At some point the defense yields something. When you trap you are letting Draymond play 4 on 3. They beat the Cavs in the Finals doing this.

With the perfect game plan you basically have to choose to let one man try to beat you or the "others" try to beat you. The "others" proved they can step up and win games in the playoffs and Finals last season, and various points in this season.

Chris Paul didn't even challenge Curry's shot by putting a hand up:snoop:

The only way to beat them is play man to man D.but dnt double team and stay in the ball game.:francis:

The thing that is so crazy is that they go on runs so fast:ohhh:. A 10-2 run turns to 20-2 in less then 5 minutes

I get your point but Kyrie is a terrible example. That nikka can't guard a phone booth.

Marginally effective. The Warriors oRating in the finals was still 107, compared to 110 in the 3 series prior.

It was still more effective:yeshrug:

The Warriors went 3-2 over Games 2-6 against LeBron and role players in the Finals last year....there's no reason a team like San Antonio couldn't implement the same strategy and possibly defeat the Warriors in the playoffs imo.

Easy to say that looking at SLOW MOTION REPLAY.

In REAL TIME, Curry gets off his shot trigger fast

Thats what a lot of these nikkaz are overlooking, and he can get his shot off in awkward ass situations. He's obviously not the athlete prime Wade was, but his ability to contort his body for a shot is reminiscent of prime Wade's, you can see it in the variety of ways he finishes at the rim. Add to that that he gets a halfcourt shot off with all the effort it took Mike Vick to flick his wrist for a 50 yard bomb, this kid is a fukking nightmare.

Even then the ball denial tactics are working a lot less now because Steph has gotten to a point where he's just going to pull up without the pick when he's feeling it and knock it down 50% of the time. :manny:

We'll see what Pop does if he gets a chance to face them in the WCF. :ehh: I wouldn't put much stock into the rest of the season series

I don't understand it breh:manny:

Curry is incredible wide open and in single coverage from 30 feet away....why so many teams think 1 man can guard him, and then they would actually have a chance to beat the Warriors, is mind boggling to me:mindblown:

He needs to be hard doubled & trapped all game long & Klay needs tight pressure applied to him as well, because he's great from 3 as well. Only chance you have to beat the Warriors is to get them away from the 3 pt line and let Barnes, Green, and Bogut attempt to kill you.

It's almost like the same principles of "The Jordan Rule" just updated for the2016. "The Curry Rule":wow:

If this was high school curry would get full court press the whole game
