Again, a team has a much better chance of winning by having Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, or Draymond Green attempting to beat then then playing Curry straight up man to man as they continuously do.
they're getting high percentage shots either way you play it....is what im saying.
so it doesnt matter what you want to do.

The only thing he could have done to stop that shot was tackle curry before he got it off. nikkas about to hack curry till his arms dont work in the playoffs. If you really trying to win it may be the only way.:francis:
And putting a 91% free throw shooter at the line isn't what you'd want to do either:mjlol:

Not saying it's easy but man the bold is how you beat the Warriors...Press up and make him/Klay shot 2 point shots...and when he does drive to paint put him on his azz( not saying hurt him or flagrant fouls) every once in a while...and don't panic when Barnes/Green/Iggy hits a few open 3's.....or Bogut has a few finishes around rim...that's not how they want to play...

Exactly.

Curry or Klay getting wide open or 1 on 1 coverage from 3 point land > Barnes, Green, Bogut shooting the ball period.

I'd take my chances with Barnes, Green, and Bogut attempting to beat my team everyday of the week.

In other words you can't play zone defense all day. You have to adjust to what your opponent is doing. It's not your local rec league.

I agree....I just don't understand and I'm waiting for one of the coli experts to explain this to me why are teams switching on Steph:mindblown:.. It makes no sense to put a center on a guard who has unlimited range..with no help..

Yeah man... D was average.

Steph hypnotized him with a few lil light crosses and a relaxed posture (very smart and cerebral way to create space), then the defender nudged him back further which gave him more space... :mindblown: when you know his range is anything past half court (lol) with space :wow: ...

...if you're gonna commit that closely man-to-man that far out :mjlol: on someone like Steph, then you gotta go all the way in, and realize you have help behind you and just live with the dribble drive and kick to someone with a lower efficiency rate.

let's review some fundamental concerns ...

the defender was looking at the ball damn near the entire time when you're taught as a kid in organized ball to watch primarily the midsection, glancing up when face guarding :usure:
defender had his hands down damn near the entire time when you're taught as a kid in organized ball to have you arms outstretched as an on ball defender (or offball in the zone), especially if you have length, to help confine the offensive player to a defined area :usure:
defender had his eyes down after nudging steph into his slight stepback motion, and got his hands up late :usure:

... also some of greatest blockers used their left hand to try to block and their right to try to shield the defenders eyes :usure:

Playing Steph man to man beyond the arc requires precision and a willingness to look foolish and huge amount of energy exertion. And defenders aren't playing like that anymore. too cool for that shyt. It requires that 45 year old man, grizzled vet, Rec Center, YMCA defense where that defender was all in your shyt the entire time, committing to the constant amount of moment to moment discipline it takes to not give you space within a defined area. As you said, those defenders made you conform to them.

I still haven't seen that on Steph. Maybe in the playoffs. But you don't have many guard defensive specialists anymore

Can't wait til the 'offs to see if the refs will allow that kinda D on Steph, and if anyone will accept the challenge of trying that.

Why you think they called GP the Glove? He suffocated people. Looking back, his ability to do it on both ends was just incredible. Y'all sure yall are hoopers?

Culinary Curry would serve him too.

It comes to the fact theres alot of bad coaching in this league right now and as a result the defenses are horrendous...When you see Curry get off shots again and again 1 on 1 and you see no adjustments being made it speaks to how bad NBA defenses have fallen off...

I have seen maybe 3-4 games all year apart from these 5 losses where teams were actually committed to trying to beat them or stay with them for 48 mins....most teams go thru the motions and assume theyll lose so they dont even try to change up the schemes...
