Naw it won't come close to the 1st third of the Golden Era...86-89.
Unless you're 35+ and grew up in the 80s, 80s rap is irrelevant today to be honest.
does that have to do with whether or not this current era will be better than the era of 86-89??does that have to do with whether or not this current era will be better than the era of 86-89??
I believe this era is better than any era in the 2000s. The past 4 or so yrs have been dope for Hip Hop even though the majority of mainstream is still wack as fuc besides a few artists.
If this era really wants to make a name for itself, more new Hip Hop groups need to come out...not just crews

the era of Internet rap is incredible
regional boundaries falling
more quality music then ever before
MORE music then ever before
less label tampering with the product because artists have an easier path to your ears
seriously, I know most of this website takes it for granted, but there is more music pouring into this scene then ever before. there's something for everyone. NY apologists, Deep South fans, trap heads, indie rap fans, west coast fans, everything
the genre is morphing and bending and some of the conservative posters here are too FLABBY AND SICK to recognize
this is the second golden era.
don't tweet about it.
just appreciate it in the moment.

its not THAT good though.
posters think it aint poppin in the streets so
