I'm actually not a banker. Without revealing too many details because my role is somewhat unique, I do fixed income within asset management. At junior levels, my pay is on par with a banker's and I have much better work life balance (50 hours a week
) , but I certainly don't have the layperson prestige of investment banking, and most bytches wouldn't understand what I do

I've been trying that angle. I've hung out with a co-worker and a few of his white Southern friends. They all seem very friendly, but I've never really hung out in monoracial groups like that and the girls almost have a Stepford Wives kind of quality. I'm not sure if they really are nice or just following a Southern tradition of being nice to your face but not actually willing to engage in a real friendship with you.
