I never seen anyone over 50 play games, that's weird. Most of the people in that age bracket you put a controller in their hand and they're completely lost, they didn't even have home computers in the 60s and 70s. I don't play games that much, mostly when I get bored, and the internet is dry in content, but every once in awhile a game will be hella dope and suck me in, like Sekiro recently, which had me sitting there for 6 hours with my girl either watching or her sitting next to me while she watches her shows with her headphones on. She knows when I zone out on a game not to bother me. I found myself in that game 6 hours 3 days straight until I beat it. It was like a newly discovered TV show that I just had to binge watch and finish.
Their are some dudes that put in MONTHS on them sports games tho, cause they're playing seasons with custom players and shyt. My nikka Solluminati almost killed his girl over a custom player in 2k, like these nikkas really be thinking they ARE the player.

Exactly like me. Like every now and then a game will appeal to me and I may buy a console to play it. I even remember when they used to rent consoles. But that's just a few weeks or a few months. After beating it i lose interest and either give the console away or sell it. I wanna say i've given away 2 Xboxes . Well one was loaned and chick disappeared on me. heard she got locked up. The other i gave to a friend's son. Maybe it's my short attention span, @Jesus is my protector .
Also remember cats in their 50s were teenagers in the 80s when Atari and Nintendo first hit the scene so i wouldnt be surprised if some of them kept up their skills

I bought tetris for me and my girl. in the winter it rains a lot, we stay in and go ham talking shyt on some basic ass tetris
a lot of females like interactive movie type games like until dawn. you really aren't doing anything competitive or hard and its interactive, they get sucked into it. giving them something hard like gta or mortal kombat will just frustrate them. if you go on a date and you go back to the crib if it starts feeling a bit awkward, put one of those types of games and you'll feel the vibe warm up real quick once yall start playing. esp something basic like tetris.

yea some of these nikkas are making cake off these games these days. some on youtube, many on twitch, there's leagues and everything. Instead of sports pools at work, or playing poker like the old days, nikkas are forming leagues and going ham, actual tournaments and shyt, money on the line and all that.

I hadn't owned a gaming console since I was a teenager in the late 90s. Ditched it when I was 19.
Then in 2012 I bought an Xbox because my niece was coming to visit me and I needed something to keep hey busy since I was OnCall for work that week. I then found one game I loved (Ace Combat) and kept it a few more months until I loaned it to this chick and never got it back.
I know grown ass 40ish and 50+ year old men who be all in on these shyts 24/7.Homie talking about "when Madden drops every year my wife just knows she's gonna be single for the next few months..."

At my job our break room has 2 or 3 60" inch screen TVs along with a PlayStation 4, a Nintendo Switch and the latest XBOX console for them freaks to sit there all day and play like this ain't a place of business.
