What's your point that someone MIGHT go out and shoot someone because Rick Ross said he kills people on a song?
Autism isn't a what if or MIGHT situation, it really effects millions of people all around the world.
Well, rap (and any music for that matter) does affect how people act. As far as autism, it is what it is. If you're an autistic person who listens to rap, then you already know it's about clever lines to begin with. If you don't, then it shouldn't affect you. J. Cole and Drake apologizing is bullshyt, but it's what they chose to do. I would tell them it's just a line , and keep it moving.
It effects some people, sure. One might argue that people who are influenced like that to commit murder have other issues going on but that is another thread. On top of all that, that is an extreme that someone listens to a rap song then goes kill someone. A kid going out and making fun of an autistic kid because of this line is much more likely. People have Autism right now, millions of people.
Why is it bullshyt? If J Cole legit felt bad then it's his right to speak his peace. It was HIS line, not yours. Does J Cole have to keep Hip Hop 'Hardcore' so you feel better when you listen to it or something?
If someone was going to make fun of someone with Autism, it's not going to be because J. Cole called them retarded. Let's be real here.
Of course it was HIS line, and I stated in my last response that it is what it is. Just like I have the right to state it's bullshyt and I wouldn't have done it.
There's really no difference...there's a bunch of people in the world with autism...just like there's a bunch of people that get murdered in senseless violence everyday (and families effected by said violence that are offended by references in music) ...rap songs aren't making people autistic anymore than they're directly causing murders...autism advocacy groups exist to catch feelings over random ass harmless rap lines, just like anti-violence advocates exist to be offended by rap for decades now...basically, this apologizing for lyrics shyt is getting comical nowWhat's your point that someone MIGHT go out and shoot someone because Rick Ross said he kills people on a song?

Let's be real here....there is a much greater chance a kid hears a J Cole line and repeats it to an autistic kid than your scenario where a kid listens to a Waka Flocka Flame record then goes and kills someone with a chopper.
Why do you think it is bullshyt? Because the 'hardcore' thing to do would have been fukk J Cole to say 'fukk Autism Speaks' instead of being a man and admitting a fault? Isn't that setting a much better example? Or does all of Hip Hop need to be 'hardcore' ? No one can be a regular guy?
