I think he’s talking about the one way # streets north of Jefferson. I used to get green out there in the 00s

Nah, he talking about all the projects you used to could see from 664 when you 1st come through the Monitor Merrimac, on the right hand side.

They been gone since 2011.

navy nikkas from NY or other places would come through and try to high sign in Norfolk but always got they shyt rocked and humbled...all them nikkas used to shop at this store called Fine's in the mall...they got smashed quick outstepping they role n Norfolk....

We got the fried crabs at the seafood spot off at this old seafood joint call Blue Channel...only real Norfolk nikkas know that spot...its a throwback and been for hella years....

All facts.

Fine's was the spot!

That and Up Against the Wall is where I got all my gear in the 90s.. Tommy, Lo, Guess, DKNY... :wow:

Blue Channel, is that in the little shopping center right across the street from Booker T High School, right around the corner from the Chinese spot?

Right beside NSU?

If so, they closed down.

Nah, Blue Channel used to be near this project called Diggs Park(been tore down for years now) but it was tucked all the way back there near the train tracks....

The Spot you taking about near NSU is still there but it moved to the corner store front(unless it shut down since August when I was last in there)...yep...in the lil Strip Mall...good stuff yo!

Facts on Facts.

I moved to Norfolk in 2000. Got out the military in 2003 and just lived in the hood Lens Ave (Shoop Park ) down the street from DJs music off Tidewater. Best years of my life, house full of down south hustlers. I got my wings in Norfolk. So many cool women in that hood. We lived near that tiny giant liquor store, we would pull chicks from the porch that were walking to the store.

People always talked about Bad news, but Norfolk was the realist. Saw a barber that worked on that shop on Lafayette blvd get popped on Lens Ave, 30 secs after walking passed and speaking to us. Saw the shooter fleeing too. Just crazy. Norfolk was no joke back. But a lot of fun.

Anybody remembers, Broadways, Upscales, Gary's, Picassos, the Alley? So much fun back then.

I ended up moving to DC in 2004, never loved dc like I did the 7 cities. I use to come back every weekend. I still regret leaving to chase that money.

Since this thread turned into plugging other cities in the area, I'm bout to plug for The Beach...

Far as Norfolk go, its aiight. It's a real gloomy city, there isnt a ton of positive energy or creativity there. Lot of poor people, not alot of diversity. Had people I dropped off to in Warview, had affiliations with people from Ingleside, mostly those two hoods the main ones I networked with in Nfk...

Crab in a barrel type of city, there's some legit hustlers but Norfolk is definitely more of a rob and kill type city. There is a disparity and desperation pervasive there...

There are a couple spots to tap in at but overall it's not too exciting, nightlife and shopping and food is average. There are some fine women around. The love I have for Norfolk is because it and The Beach are damn near the same city, if you look at em that way you can see the dynamic of shared cultures between the two. Most people in one know people or are related to people in the other one, most people work in one, live in the other, people in both cities do shyt in the other one. They damn near one city...

If I had to take Norfolk by itself, I'll pass...

Virginia Beach is the realest place in Hampton Roads. By far the most diverse city in Hampton Roads so the women are badder, more variety. There's a different level of creativity in Black VB than you see in the other cities. Downtown VB (Town Center) is the next most popping downtown after Downtown Nfk and is steadily growing and expanding with new shyt. VB shopping is A1, food, culture, Beach got the best in the area...

In the streets Beach nikkas are paper getters. It's not the violent city the other Tidewater cities are, the other cities have a ton of killings. VB get busy in a few spots like that, but overall its money over bullshyt and you can feel that energy. By far it's where you see the highest level of hustlers (not saying they not in the other cities, there are well known paper chasers in the other one but in VB OVERALL it's more money than beefing and violence)...

Only things I don't like about The Beach, there are alota white boys with the sack and a couple Asians, sometimes you gotta flex on em different. But they in the field too. And alota born and/or raised Beach cats do have an inferiority complex to Norfolk, because Nfk dudes come to this side robbing muhfukkas and starting beef, and in The Beach, again it's not as much like that. So certain cats do have a demeanor that Nfk dudes are better, you find out cats born and raised in The Beach be claiming they from the worst hoods in Nfk to sound tougher lmao...

But the Beach dudes who don't have that inferiority complex are legit. They know we holding the key out in VB, and at any rate real does recognize real wherever. I'm obviously not originally from here, so the inferiority complex never got to me, and I've touched alota places and cities. These cities out 757 get active for sure but aren't the worst places I've ever seen with the trigger-happy shyt, considering I've engaged in criminal activity from the hoods in California to Little Rock to Buffalo to Richmond, etc. So my perspective and frame of reference on street activity is pretty wide-reaching. Some places are worse than others, that's a fact...

VB is not as wild as the other 757 cities, and the other 757 cities not as wild as other places in different parts of the country....

But that's part of why I love The Beach. It's a beautiful city, more urban than people give it credit for, excellent people, the baddest women in Tidewater, and overall best culture. And when shyt get wack in VB you just dip to Nfk a few minutes away. I utilized them both, like I said they just two sides if the same city to me, and most people I knew on either side dealt with the other in some form...

As far as The Peninsula, I had to work in Hampton for about a month. I would say those NPN/Hampton cats are the most grimy, the energy is different than Nfk, Nfk is just bigger. They the same with the cutthroat shyt, cats will come see about you and the robbing and shooting is a big deal, but aesthetically NPN/Hampton is more "kill or be killed". I can't describe it, it's just a general feeling...

Overall I'm not as high on the whole area as I am on Virginia Beach but I got love for the 7-5 and we'll be back hopefully as soon as next fall, looking to raise our daughters in Virginia Beach...

Chesapeake wild boring tho, honestly the whole area is mostly boring to me outside Nfk and VB...but the women in Chesapeake are worth seeing for sure...

:comeon: What kinda money, getting a degree and being an engineer?

Cause if you’re talking about another type of money, VA Beach aren’t doing that like Norfolk and Portsmouth.

This would only happen in a music video.

Beach hustlers have never came through P-Town like that. Push had a police detail with him when they shot it.
